Bark Ruffalo Steals the Spotlight Despite ‘Good Omens’ Co-stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen’s Hilarious Star-Studded Show
David Tennant knows exactly how to entertain fans through his portrayals, but little did you know that Bark Ruffalo will steal his spotlight during his opening monologue at the 2024 EE BAFTA Film Awards.
For those who might think we spelled the name wrong, then let us tell you it’s absolutely correct. Bark Ruffalo is Michael Sheen’s dog, whom he wanted to be looked after on the award function day. So, to make this happen, Sheen approached his pal and Good Omens co-star David Tennant, who had no choice but to bring Bark along with him to host the big event.

The demon and angel from Good Omens reunited most hilariously, and guess what? This could only happen because of Michael Sheen‘s dog Bark Ruffalo. Apart from being co-stars in the lockdown show, David Tennant and Sheen are incredible friends. And since nobody wants to miss the 2024 EE BAFTA Film Awards, the Underworld actor told Tennant to pet-sit Bark.

However, the Hamlet star was all set to host the award evening, and his co-star made things difficult for him. But Tennant didn’t give up and asked celebrities like Tom Hiddleston, Judi Dench, and a few others if they could help him by looking after Bark for the day. Since everybody prioritized to enjoy the BAFTA Film Awards, David Tennant was left with one choice: host the event along with Bark Ruffalo.

So the actor accompanied by the dog, entered the event filled with Hollywood’s most famous figures, and as expected, Bark Ruffalo stole his pet sitter aka host’s spotlight at the BAFTA Awards. And when the Fright Night star sees Sheen sitting in the very front row, he says (via YouTube):
“Michael! Michael? What?… What is this?… What are you doing there? I’m hosting the show. This is why you wanted me to dog sit, so you could sit there?”
The moment became even more hilarious when Sheen replied with “yeah” and that was enough to annoy his pal. However, later the Passengers star takes the dog from Tennant and lets him start the monologue. So, thanks to Bark Ruffalo for helping the co-stars make the award show fun and engaging.
Michael Sheen and David Tennant Aren’t Returning For More Staged Episodes
Apart from their hit comedy-drama Good Omens, David Tennant and Michael Sheen are also known for their portrayals in Staged. While acknowledging the experience of filming Staged, the Free Jimmy star also shared that there are no more upcoming episodes for Staged. However, you can still enjoy the co-stars’ bond in Good Omens, as the series received immense commendation from fans.
