Zdarsky will be taking over the Batman #125 from Joshua Williamson (writer) after the end of the “Shadow War” event, which was a crossover between Batman, Deathstroke, and Robin Inc. Many DC fans are very excited for how Zdarsky will take on Batman, as he has already given us a very successful Daredevil run for Marvel with artist Marco Checchetto, which was even nominated for Best Continuing Series at the 2021 Eisner Awards.

Jiménez and Zdarsky will start their first arc with the debut of a new villain for the Batman, Failsafe.  Zdarsky said previously, “When DC approached me to write Batman, I immediately thought about things that could really challenge the character mentally, physically, and in terms of his relationships,” continuing on to say that he is “really excited about where [he] could take the title.”

Batman #125 is written by Zdarsky with main cover art and interior by Jiménez, while the colors are done by Tomeu Morey and letters written by VC’s Clayton Cowles.

Batman #125 will go on sale on July 5 from DC Comics.
