Before Twilight and Batman Fame Robert Pattinson Used to Steal and Sell P*rn to School Kids
In his career spanning nearly two decades, Robert Pattinson has portrayed several fictional characters. The first of these was Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He played the character of Edward Cullen in the supernatural romance film series Twilight. This role catapulted his name to stardom in Hollywood.
Celebrities often confess certain things that leave fans in shock. Some of these confessions prove to be embarrassing and even get the fans backlash on social media. Robert Pattinson also let out some of the skeletons in his closet in an interview. He revealed how he managed to get expelled from his school and it was a rather interesting revelation.
Robert Pattinson Used To Shoplift In His School Days
People make a lot of mistakes when they are young under the false impression that it is fun when it is actually harmful and morally wrong. However, they don’t realize this until later when they are reprimanded or punished for their wrongdoings. As a young schoolboy, Robert Pattinson too had developed a bad habit that got him into trouble.
In an interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, Pattinson hesitantly revealed that he used to shoplift dirty magazines with his friends. He said:
“I’ve never actually said this before. I was stealing p*rno magazines and selling them at school. No one knew at all what to do with them, though…I’d sell them for a lot of money. I used to go in and take, like, one or two, and then put them in my bag. I was in my school uniform when I was doing it, and it was kind of risky. At the end, I got so cocky that I would take the entire rack.”
The Batman star was eventually caught and as one would guess it did not end well for him. He also told Howard Stern that before he started stealing magazines, he used to steal candy, especially the wearable candy bracelets that he used to love.
Robert Pattinson Was Caught By The Store Employee
Robert Pattinson’s revelation that he used to shoplift X-rated magazines from schools was rather shocking. The fact that he used to sell it to school kids without knowing what they were being used for was very risky as he could have been caught by the school itself.
In the same interview with Howard Stern, the Good Time actor said that it was the store’s employee who caught him stealing. Pattinson recounted the incident, saying:
“I remember the guy who worked in the store shouting, like, ‘Hey!’ and then my two friends ran off, and I turned around, like, ‘What?’ I walked back up to him. I hadn’t zipped up my bag. This guy is pulling out all these p*rno magazines — and it was when p*rn used to have, like, VHS tapes in the plastic sheet with it — and he’s pulling all these things out, and I was sitting there humiliated with all the old people looking at me disgusted.”
Robert Pattinson then went on to say that he was given two options, the first one was calling his parents and the second was calling the cops. He asked the employee to call his parents. Later, he found out that the employee had also told his school about the matter which got him expelled.
