Ben Affleck’s Original Batsuit in The Flash Revealed – It Looks Way Better Than What We Got in Ezra Miller Movie
From Good Will Hunting to Gone Girl, American actor and filmmaker, Ben Affleck, has given some phenomenal performances over the years. These performances include his role as Batman in 2016’s superhero movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Despite the initial backlash Affleck received from fans after the casting announcement, his work in the movie won the hearts of millions of people.
If there is one thing that interests fans about a superhero film apart from the casting and story, its the costume. Whether its Iron Man’s suit or Batman’s costume, fans have always expressed their opinions about the costumes or suits they see their favorite superheroes wearing.
Ben Affleck Has Donned Several Batsuits
After Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy ended, the role of Batman was passed onto Ben Affleck from Christian Bale. Since 2016 when he starred as Batman for the first time in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Affleck has reprised the role in Suicide Squad, Justice League, and The Flash.
The most notable difference between the costumes of Zack Snyder’s Batman (Affleck) and Christopher Nolan’s Batman (Bale) is that the former’s have been fantastical due to the more comic book-ish touch to the character while the latter had aimed to be realistic and thus, had an armor-like feel to it.

The Argo actor has donned a total of 6 different Batsuits in the four movies he has appeared in as Batman. The only movie he starred in that stuck to the DCEU Batsuit was Suicide Squad. All of Snyder’s other Batman movies feature more than 1 suit, being as faithful as they can be to the comics in which Batman has a number of suits available at all times.
Ben Affleck’s Original Batsuit in The Flash Revealed
Although Affleck had backed down from his role as Batman in 2017 due to an alcoholic relapse, he returned for a cameo in 2022’s The Flash. In 2021, during an appearance on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the actor said:
“I tried to direct a version of it and worked with a really good screenwriter, but just couldn’t come up with a version, I couldn’t crack it. So I thought it was time to let someone else take a shot at it. They got some really good people, so I’m excited.”

In The Flash, Ben Affleck is seen wearing a costume in a blue and gray color scheme. It neither matches the concept art that concept artist Robert Rowley showed in an Instagram post nor the recently released behind-the-scene pictures. In the pictures, he sports a black and silver Batsuit that was originally supposed to be in the post-credits scene of the movie.

Possibly to avoid criticism for making the suit dark like the DCEU, The Flash used a light color scheme. The problem with that, however, is that the color makes the suit’s many elements pop out which can be distracting. Additionally, The Flash‘s VFX problems didn’t seem to help the case.
