Dwayne Johnson has shared a clip from Black Adam’s set, donning what seemed like a new costume for his DC antihero.

The Black Adam trailer was released a couple of days back and it does feature the new costume. In fact, Johnson’s antihero is seen wearing a black garb without the gold trim that was visible in the BTS clip.

The first trailer for Black Adam revealed Teth-Adam’s origin story, his death, his loss, and his eventual rise into the god-like antihero DC fans have been long-promised. While flying around or hurling lightning, the DC antihero is wearing one of two costumes, one without the hood and cape, the other with it. Neither one of the two is seen with the gold trim. Right now, the story behind the costume seen in the BTS clip is unknown.

Johnson has been quite vocal about his enthusiasm for the upcoming movie, which had been underway for more than a decade. He said, “I believe I was born to play this character. But in all honesty, this project has been with me for 10 ten years now. The process began when we started to stand the material up and really developed it into what it is present day. Once the start date was agreed on by our Seven Bucks production company, the rest of my team, Warner Bros. Studio, and DC Comics, I started to build an exhaustive training program with my coach Dave Rienzi. I wanted to come into this in the best shape of my career.”

Will The Movie Stick To Its Source Material?

When it’s about how much the film sticks to the source material, producer Hiram Garcia revealed that, despite the PG-13 rating, the film will do the antihero justice.

“The truth is that we felt we were properly able to represent the edge and power that Black Adam has without needing to go to an R rating. This movie can thrive in a PG-13 space and that’s great for us because we want to introduce the anti-hero to as many people as possible.”

Black Adam will open in theaters on October 21.
