Captain Marvel is Not the Avenger Iman Vellani Wants to Team Up With Next
Canadian actress Iman Vellani’s rise to fame has been nothing short of dramatic as the young actress’ first stint itself was the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project Ms. Marvel, which was released to great critical acclaim. Her portrayal of Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel was praised by critics and audiences alike. The fact that she did not have any professional acting experience before this is rather amusing.
Iman Vellani’s very next project was the sequel to Captain Marvel, 2023’s The Marvels which featured Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau, and of course, Vellani’s Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. However, the next Avenger Vellani wants to team up with is not Captain Marvel, instead it is Spider-Man star Tom Holland.

An ardent fan of Marvel, the superhero team Avengers to be more specific, Iman Vellani is quite literally living the dream life. While many actors are still waiting for their chance to star in a Marvel project after years and years of hard work, Vellani seems to have won in that regard without having to do too much.
In The Marvels, Ms. Marvel, Captain Marvel, and Monica Rambeau find themselves up against the Kree warrior Darr-Benn. The only issue with this is that every time one of the superheroes uses their powers, they get interchanged among themselves. After they manage to defeat Darr-Benn, Ms. Marvel pays a visit to Kate Bishop in New York City, aiming to build a team of young superheroes.

During a recent interview, when The Direct suggested that Ms. Marvel should visit Spider-Man while she is in New York City, Iman Vellani expressed her desire to have a crossover with the web-slinging superhero portrayed by Tom Holland:
“I would love to see a team-up [with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man]. Their team-ups in the comics are honestly one of my favorites. So, that would be cool.”
Seeing as the young Marvel actress started big, it does not come as a surprise that she is aiming higher. In fact, it is probably a crossover that the fans would love to see on-screen.
Iman Vellani On Which Superheroes Will Be Joining Her Young Superhero Team
As far as superhero teams are concerned, MCU’s Avengers continue to be one of the best ones to have ever existed. However, Avengers: Endgame saw the departure of three (Black Widow, Iron Man, and Captain America) of the six major Avengers.

This calls for the need for another superhero team and Ms. Marvel seems to be at the rescue as she went all Nick Fury in The Marvels. When The Direct asked Iman Vellani which superheroes Kamala Khan is planning to have on her team, she said:
“I don’t know. I don’t know what the rules are for scenes that were cut, like, Am I still supposed to keep those secrets?… I’ll say, whatever names you can guess are probably right. Like, there’s not that many young people in the MCU right now.”
The actress was hesitant to speak too much lest she spoil something for the fans. While talking to Kate Bishop in The Marvels, Kamala Khan mentioned Cassie Lang so the young superhero team is likely to have her.
