The American Rapper, Cardi B is surely one of the strongest artists in the game. There are numerous bizarre news and events floating around the internet but it makes it to the headlines when a big name is associated with them. Something of this sort did come up in the pool of viral videos but this time it was associated with The Dalai Lama. Every person had their own way of reacting to the news and so did the WAP singer.
The Rapper is known for speaking her heart out about everything that needs attention. Similarly, in this particular incident, she did not hold back and commented with no filters.
What Was The Viral Video About?
The incident took place during an interaction on the 28th of February at an event in McLeod Ganj, a suburb of Dharamshala. Around 100 school students were present at the event, which was organized at a temple. One of the students attending the interaction asked the 87-year-old monk if he could hug him. The boy came up to the platform and then the Monk planted a kiss on the boy’s lips as he leaned in to pay his respects. He then stuck his tongue out, while placing his forehead against the boy’s, and asked the child to suck it. The boy moved away while the Dalai Lama laughed and pulled the boy in for another hug.

How Did Cardi B And Others On The Internet React?
As soon as a video of the incident went viral people on social media had some things to say about it. And by people, we meant celebrities too. One of those celebrities is The Please Me artist. She is one of the thousands of people who have spoken out about the incident. “This world is full of predators,” she wrote on Twitter. The social media platform slammed the footage by calling it “Disgusting” and “Absolutely Sick”.
“Utterly shocked to see this display by the #DalaiLama. In the past too, he’s had to apologize for his sexist comments. But saying – Now suck my tongue to a small boy is disgusting,” tweeted one user. “What did I just see? What that child must be feeling? Disgusting,” said another.

Did The Dalai Lama Apologize For The Incident?
The Tibetan religious figure soon had a statement issued by a representative to apologize for the incident. The statement said, “His Holiness often teases people he meets in an innocent and playful way, even in public and before cameras, and he regrets the incident,”. The Office of the religious leader issued a statement saying, “A video clip has been circulating that shows a recent meeting when a young boy asked His Holiness the Dalai Lama if he could give him a hug. His Holiness wishes to apologize to the boy and his family, as well as his many friends across the world, for the hurt his words may have caused,”.
All in all, the viral video took the internet by storm and many people came forward and commented on it. But an apology was also made public for the kiss incident with that 11-year-old boy.
