Carrie Underwood lied about her breakup with Chace Crawford

The two stars Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford reportedly ended their relationship over text. After their breakup, the American Idol winner came out to Extra at the taping of Idol Gives Back and said,

““It was completely mutual,–We broke up over text so … it’s like ‘peace out.’ –It just didn’t work,–We both knew it didn’t work and [had] no hard feelings at all whatsoever.”

Giving the impression, that the breakup wasn’t a big deal for the two as both of them saw it coming from a mile away. According to her the confrontation wasn’t dreadful at all and was like an easy conversation with a friend. Furthermore, the singer added,

But apparently, that wasn’t the case at all. Turns out, the breakup wasn’t mutual and the singer reportedly dumped the actor. According to an insider,

“Carrie is the one who broke Chace’s heart, not the other way around,–He flew to visit her, went on tour with her – he did everything he could for this girl.”

Candice Crawford also chimed in after a week Underwood shared her insight with Extra, she said to People magazine,

“He was upset about the breakup,–It’s always hard when you lose a relationship.”

How did the two meet?

According to Cosmopolitan, the love birds met in May 2007 at the Hollywood nightclub Hyde. Since then they became inseparable. In the October of the same year, Underwood said to People,

“I’ve met him and he seems like a really nice guy. He’s got cool hair, he’s a nice height and he just has beautiful blue eyes.”

One of their most talked about dates took place at their usual go-to place Marquee, where the two were serenaded by “performers in Oompa-Loompa costumes.” This date, skyrocketed their popularity and likeability as celebrities even more as the tabloids and magazines left no piece of information there was to know about the two. Unfortunately, the two parted ways in 2008. Although the exact reason for their breakup was unknown, Underwood stated it was partly because of all the attention the relationship received. She said to People,

“It’s difficult while you’re dating because people always make a lot bigger deal of things than they actually are,–Then when you break up with somebody and then like two months later it comes out and it’s like you’re rehashing old stuff. I don’t know what that’s all out now.”

Since then Carrie Underwood went on to marry Mike Fisher, and there is no news of Crawford dating after he broke up with Rebecca Rittenhouse in 2018.

But it is believed the two remained friends even after the “tumultuous” breakup.
