Christopher Nolan Reveals If He Will Make The Dark Knight 4 With Christian Bale
Batman is arguably the most notable superhero from the DC comics. Having debuted in the comics as early as 1939, there have been several movies and projects around the Gotham City superhero since. After the epic failure of George Clooney’s Batman and Robin (1997), attempting to make a dynamic live-action of character was a little taboo in the filmmaking circuit. The project was untouched for years but this was brought to an end by Warner Bros. hiring a director to make a film on Batman. The decision turned out to be profitable. But any future possibilities inspire intrigue.
Will Christopher Nolan Make Another Batman Movie?
Christopher Nolan making a live-action Batman movie in the early 00s was a remarkable feat. He sought after making it in a way it has never been made. Writing the screenplay with his brother, Nolan tried to make the movie his “eleven-year-old self wanted to watch”. He took an age-old, ubiquitously known story and made it his own. Not very different from his current work.
The release of his recent adaptation of the book American Prometheus, the biography of J. Robert Oppenheimer, has brought his exceedingly successful take on the DC comics’ Batman back into the discourse. Fans are keen on knowing if Nolan is planning on doing any superhero movies. While doing press for Oppenheimer, the esteemed director has been questioned regarding his having any future plans regarding the epic Dark Knight trilogy.
In classic Christopher Nolan, no-nonsense fashion, the director answered this query. His answer was a straightforward “No”. This one word has put an end to the discussion. Nolan did not grace the fans with an explanation or any of the ideas he had.

Christian Bale Won’t Return as Batman
Christopher Nolan has absolutely no intentions of adding more installments to the franchise. This translates as having slim to no chances of seeing Christian Bale as Batman again. The pair is surely terrific together, unless some really ambitious and challenging script comes along, having these two work together is rather unlikely.
The director’s words being against the popular demand has surely caused a huge bummer for fans of the Dark Knight franchise. But more enthralling projects from him in the future are depended upon. It is to be seen that in his denying extending the franchise if he plans to direct some other superhero thriller. For he has proved his mettle in the genre. And fans will rejoice to see a Chris Nolan superhero movie.
