Zack Snyder is an esteemed American director. Famously known for his cinematic masterpieces like Justice League and Man of Steel etc, the filmmaker has managed to simultaneously capture the hearts of many. He has consistently been at the forefront of creating expansive films.
While Snyder has directed a number of blockbuster films, he is arguably most famous for his 2013 movie Man of Steel which features Henry Cavill as Superman. Years after its release, the movie still continues to captivate audiences and interestingly even Christopher Nolan.
Christopher Nolan reveals his favorite scene from Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel
Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder share a close bond. It is reported that the two even catch up every month on the phone. Nolan is also a fan of Snyder’s work and believes his “casting instincts are second to none”. While speaking about Snyder’s Man of Steel during an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Nolan made a rather interesting revelation.
Christopher Nolan described his personal favourite scene from the movie and it did not have the movie’s lead actor Henry Cavill in it. He said:
“The moment in Man of Steel where Kevin Costner tells young Clark that whatever his origin, he’s still his son puts a lump in my throat every time. Zack is best known for his facility with iconic image-making, but his casting instincts are second to none.”
Zack Snyder is an avid Fortnite player
When Zack Snyder is not making blockbuster movies, you can find him gaming. He’s not just a casual gamer and is known to be obsessed with Fortnite. During an interview with IGN, the director revealed that he began playing the game with his son. However, his son didn’t turn out to be a big fan of the game. He said:
“My son and I got into Fortnite. I kind of wanted to play it with him and then he didn’t like it, so then I ended up just playing it by myself. I went down a bad rabbit hole with Fortnite in the sense that I took a pretty deep dive […] I was Meeseeks from Rick and Morty.”
Zack Snyder also spoke about his about his preferred playstyle in Fortnite, the director preferred no-build mode. This refers to the Zero Build battle royale mode, where players abstain from erecting structures during gameplay.
