On Friday, during the trial, she testified and denied the claims made by the retired optometrist, Dr. Terry Sanderson, who is suing her for over $300,000, alleging that she injured him because of skiing dangerously. In an attempt to make the 50-year-old actress’ frame appear bigger, Sanderson’s lawyer, Kristin VanOrman focused on Paltrow’s height.
Vanorman asked the actress, “May I ask how tall you are?”
To which Paltrow answered, “I’m just under 5-10. I think I’m shrinking though.”
Vanorman then said, “You and me both. I am so jealous. I have to wear four-inch heels just to make it to 5-5.”
Paltrow replied with an “Oh, they’re very nice.”
At a certain moment, it appeared that VanOrman had forgotten her strategy, as she called her tiny before whispering the opposite under her breath.
Vanorman finally said, “You’re small but mighty. [Softly:] Actually you’re not that small.”
While wearing an oversized blue suit, VanOrman made quirky remarks that initially drew attention, but eventually became cringe-worthy.
Goop CEO, Paltrow, who is countersuing for a symbolic $1 and attorney fees, testified at length to clear her name. She provided her account of the accident, stating that she initially felt it was assaulting.
Gwyneth Paltrow Testified To Feeling Violated In A Ski Crash
During the 2016 ski collision at a Utah mountain resort involving Brad Falchuk’s wife, Paltrow, and retired optometrist Sanderson, the actress testified to feeling violated and having concerns about the possibility of the incident being perverted or a prank.
During her testimony on Friday, which lasted for two hours, Paltrow described the incident in detail, explaining Sanderson slowly crashed into her as she was skiing down the slopes at Park City, Utah.
“I was skiing and two skis came between my skis, forcing my legs apart, and then there was a body pressing against me and there was a very strange grunting noise.
My brain was trying to make sense of what was happening. I thought, ‘Is this a practical joke? Is someone doing something perverted? This is really strange.”
During her testimony, the Seven star discussed how she sought help from the ski patrol after the incident and the lasting effects it has had on her life, such as fear and anxiety while skiing.
