Fans are excited after Marvel announced that they would be bringing Daredevil on Disney+. The show aired for 3 seasons on Netflix and was popular with fans. Many wanted the show to have a fourth season and things look upbeat for this TV series.

Steven DeKnight, the former showrunner, has his plate full with work. This means that he would not be returning as the showrunner for the series on Disney+. There were rumors and speculation that James Gunn would bring DeKnight for a project under Warner Bros. DeKnight took to Twitter to clarify the situation.

Taking to Twitter, Steve DeKnight put to rest rumors that he was teaming up with James Gunn on The Amanda Waller Show of the DCEU. When a fan questioned the Daredevil showrunner about his alleged teaming up with James Gunn to work on the aforementioned show, DeKnight replied equivocally, “those rumors are false”. Further, under the same Tweet thread, he stated that he is  “not currently contracted to do anything in the DC universe”

With this clarification, DeKnight has put to rest rumors that he is working on a project related to the DCEU. After this clarification by DeKnight, many fans were disappointed on Twitter. While others were curious as to the projects that he is working on right now. Steven DeKnight did a phenomenal job as the showrunner for the TV Series.
