Dark Flash and His Origin Story: Is He Powerful Enough to Wipe Out Entire Justice League? ⁩

As the release date for DCEU, The Flash approaches ever nearer, more information has come to light about the story and it is the involvement of the Dark Flash. Although the US trailer did not make it as clear, however, a recent toy reveal for the upcoming film and the Japanese trailer confirmed the appearance of this character in the story.

It is a recurring character in many of the tv shows such as CW’s The Flash series, Arrowverse, and the Legends of Tomorrow. The Dark Flash is none other than the evil version of a speedster called the Black Flash in the comic story.

Who is The Dark Flash and What is his Origin Story?

With the release of the Japanese trailer of the upcoming DCEU film The Flash starring Ezra Miller, it has come to the surface that apart from the main villain General Zod, there is another antagonistic character making its appearance in the film.

A toy from McFarlane has revealed the Black Flash or the Dark Flash figurine toy which was not as clear in the US trailer. This character appears in the Flash universe multiple times with any of the speedsters having the chance of becoming a darker and evil version of themselves.

Although Dark Flash does not have an origin story of any sort it first appeared in 1998 Flash comic edition no.138. This dark version has a spiky black suit and seems to be from an alternate universe where Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) comes across him as he travels back in time to have his mother’s life. The Dark Flash has the ability of super speed, immortality, and travel through time as well as the ability to change it.

More on the Upcoming DCEU Film: The Flash

Finally, The Flash is coming to the big screen with Ezra Miller as the much-loved speedster Barry Allen. The film is based on the Flashpoint story where Allen goes back to the past in hopes of saving his mother’s life. This will create alternate timelines, as a result causing multiverse chaos.

The main antagonist is set to be General Zod and as it turns out the evil version of the speedster called the Dark Flash will be making an appearance.
The Flash will hit the theatres on the 16th of June.
