Deadpool 3 Has Reportedly Almost Completed its Filming, Moving into Post-Production
The highly talked about Deadpool 3 has been on the fans’ RADAR since it was announced following the second installment in the franchise back in 2019. However, a lot has happened in between such as the COVID lockdown and the recent Writer’s Strike which has undoubtedly halted the production process one way or another.
However, just a few days before the WGA strike in May, MCU went forward with the filming anyways. As of now, the storyline has been mostly kept under wraps with only some absolute information such as Hugh Jackman’s reprisal of his Marvel character Wolverine.
And finally, according to the latest reports, the third installment is almost finished with the shooting.
Deadpool 3 Reported To Be Almost Finished With Production
Nothing seems to have been able to stop the production of the upcoming Deadpool film from taking place. Despite blockages like COVID-19 and Writer’s Guild Association or WGA Strike etc, Marvel Studios decided to move forward with the project.
On May 22 this year, Marvel Studios announced the film had begun production. It’s been 4 years since the last Deadpool film (Deadpool 2) came out back in 2019 and although a lot of other MCU projects have been released since then, the fans of the loud-mouthed anti-hero have surely missed him.
Luckily for all those awaiting for their hero to come back on screen, a recent report suggests that MCU is almost done with the Deadpool 3 filming. And it is said to be ready for moving into the post-production stage already. Because this is significantly much faster than the usual production rate, only time will tell if the film turns out.
As for the storyline, not enough information is out except that the titular hero (Ryan Reynolds) crosses paths with another Marvel hero Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) as well as other X-Men characters which includes Storm and three others.
More on The Upcoming Deadpool 3
From the available information out there, the storyline of the upcoming third installment, Deadpool 3 in MCU’s Deadpool franchise will reportedly focus on the titular character (played by Ryan Reynolds) and his allyship with Wolverine. The two Marvel characters will cross each other’s paths to fight one common enemy. Apart from that other X-Men characters such as Storm will also be making an appearance in the film as per reports.
And with such a rapid production process reported to be almost completed, the film is expected to release earlier than estimated. Currently, Deadpool 3 is expected to release in May next year (2024).
