Demi Lovato teases new album that has one thing in common with fellow artist Ariana Grande

Actress-singer and now director Demi Lovato appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she admitted that she is working on finding her sound for an upcoming album. Lovato shared,

I tend to write from the place that I am in, in the moment. It’s been amazing; I’ve been writing nothing but love songs and sexy songs because I’m just in this really good place.

However, the singer clarified that she is still trying to figure out her sound at this moment and doesn’t know when her album will be out. This reminded the fans about something that Ariana Grande did with her Positions album, which also had a lot of songs depicting love and seemingly dedicated to then-boyfriend Dalton Gomez (now ex-husband).

The songs on the album gave her fans a timeline of their relationship from the moment they met to the moment she knew he was the one. During her appearance on The Zach Sang Show, the singer-actress shared,

It felt nice to be creating from a more healed place. I know a lot of people love, love Thank U, Next, and want me to always make something like that. I’m happy to not be in that kind of pain anymore and to be in a new chapter.

Both artists who have been through a tough and challenging time in their lives found a way to not only heal but also use that positive source to make music for their fans.

Demi Lovato also revealed on the show that she and her fiancé Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes got engaged in December 2023 and have been planning their wedding. With flashing her gorgeous pear-shaped diamond ring, Lovato added that she wants to be ahead of it and does not want to be stressed out about the wedding.

In an interview with People, Demi Lovato, who co-directed the movie with Nicola Marsh, shared,

This was just a story that I had been wanting to tell for quite some time. I’ve always thought about exploring the history of child stars and also looking at different points of view and perspectives of what it’s like to be a child star in today’s day and age.

Without a doubt, Demi Lovato is one of the artists who has always been very, very honest about her past and has never hesitated to be vulnerable in front of her fans. She noted during the interview that she has shared a lot with people and has realized that her experiences do not define her. The singer adds that individuals always tend to have what they can’t have, and so when they get older, they put pressure on themselves because they aren’t as young as they used to be.

I try not to focus on how much time we have left, but rather on how much more life experience we get to have if we’re lucky enough.

A special screening of the movie was held on September 12, 2024, at Neuehouse Hollywood. According to Variety, Demi Lovato acknowledged the stars who appeared in the movie by stating that talking to them so candidly about each other’s experiences was meaningful to her.
