Demi Moore’s Spicy Dating History – From Cheating on Rock Musician Husband to Whirlwind Wedding With Bruce Willis and Heartbreak With Ashton Kutcher
- Demi Moore’s dating history includes early marriage and divorce, high-profile romances, and media scrutiny, contrasting her successful acting career.
- Her relationships with Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher were particularly notable, with both ending in divorce amid public attention.
- Currently single, Moore attributes her status to her nine dogs, which she humorously claims leave no room for a partner in her life.
Famed for her breakthrough role as Molly Jensen in the 90s hit Ghost alongside Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore has since had quite a successful career. Sharing the screens with some of Hollywood’s biggest names in Striptease, G.I. Jane, and A Few Good Men, Moore once also found fame as the highest-earning actress. However, taking a sharp contrast from her on-screen success and versatility, Moore had a somewhat unstable love life.
Early marriage and divorce, infidelity from both sides, high-profile romances, and a media spotlight on affairs, her pairings have seen it all. This renewed focus on her previous relations came on the backs of her recent admissions of having stayed single for a while. Yet, there is no denying that her dating history is one twisted roller-coaster.
A Demi Moore saga of failed love
Born as Demi Gene Guynes, the Hollywood A-lister changed her name to Demi Moore, following her marriage at age 17, the first of her life, to the late musician Freddy Moore. In her memoir Inside Out, she admitted to cheating on the night before the wedding as well as to having a fling with Two and a Half Men’s Jon Cryer during the last legs of this wedlock, leading to a divorce in 1985.
The star’s subsequent engagement to Emilio Estevez, whom she met on the sets of St. Elmo’s Fire, got called off a year later. In 1987, Bruce Willis entered the scene, whom Moore married in 1987 and had three daughters with.
Yet, a divorce was finalized in 2000 after irreconcilable differences. A brief spree with her martial arts instructor, Oliver Whitcomb, within the years of her knot with Estevez and Willis had also happened, as per her accounts.
Another high-profile and heavily media-scrutinized wedding divorce happened between Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. Following a dating period of two years, the duo married in 2005 when the actress was 40 and her partner 25. The No Strings Attached actor admitted to cheating, following which they parted ways.
Ever since she has had brief dates with restaurateur Harry Morton, musician Sean Friday, and chef Daniel Humm, without any nuptials exchanged.
Failed marriages are not why Demi Moore has chosen to be single
Demi Moore made a recent appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and opened up on her current relationship status. As speculated, she is single, but for a unique reason. Catering to her nine dogs, she revealed that they were the very reason behind her not looking for a partner, as they sleep on her bed and leave no room for anyone else.
Describing herself as “eccentric”, she revealed that she has built her comfort zone around her pets, essentially removing the need to seek outside support.
Ok, I sleep with dogs. If anybody saw my nighttime routine, if it was filmed, they would really see how eccentric I really am.
Continuing it further, she jokingly elaborated,
I have two beds for the little ones, so they have a bed within the bed. Hence why I’m single.
The 61-year-old locking herself up with her pets had also worried her closest circle, as she used them as a good enough excuse to avoid dating. Regardless, she continues to march on the professional front. A role in FX’s anthology drama, Feud, alongside another in Taylor Sheridan’s Landman stands as upcoming acting highlights.
