Andrew Tate, the former MMA fighter and controversial influencer had been arrested over human trafficking allegations and organized crimes, along with his brother, in Romania. Previously the Tate brothers were taken into custody for 30 days from their time of arrest, which was again extended till 27th February as per court orders for the second time. However, recently it’s been updated by the Romanian court as they passed their judgment against the fate of the Tate brothers, extending their prison time by another 30 days.

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan were held in detention after the Romanian police arrested the two on the grounds of r*pe and human trafficking charges. Although the Tate brothers denied all allegations, their detention was previously extended twice. Recently another month was added to their prison time, due to an ongoing investigation.

Andrew Tate And His Brother Face Extended Incarceration

The controversial social media figure, Andrew Tate faces extended prison time along with his brother Tristan Tate for the third time. Taken into custody by Romanian police on December 29, 2022, the Tate brothers faced initial 30 days imprisonment which previously got extended once, till February 27th, 2023. However, based on the recent investigation proceedings, the court ordered another added month of prison time.

Held in custody until the end of March 2023, the Tate brothers were initially arrested by the Romanian police for allegedly “forming an organized criminal group, human trafficking, and r*pe”. The former kickboxer along with his younger brother was also accused of “forced labor… and pornographic acts for substantial financial benefits”. 

Along with two other Romanian women Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu, the gang was arrested despite denying all allegations and wrongdoings. Although the Romanian nationals are kept under house arrest, the Tate brothers face extended jail time. The news was made public by Ramona Bolla, the spokesperson for Romania’s anti-organized crime and terrorism directorate (DIICOT).

The Tate Brothers Were Taken Into Custody For Alleged Human Trafficking 

The 36-year-old former MMA fighter known for his misogynistic comments and promoting toxic masculinity through social media was arrested along with his brother in Romania. The Tate brothers lost their 1st February appeal since the judge considered the offenders “particular dangerousness of the defendants”. Based on their way of targetting victims, “with an increased vulnerability, in search of better life opportunities,” the judge granted their decision against the alleged perpetrators.

Andrew Tate initially started making his career in the entertainment sector in 2016, by appearing on Big Brother, the reality TV show. However, he was soon removed from the show after a video of him attacking a woman emerged and went viral. Ever since then, Tate has been trying his luck through social media sites.  

Tate who previously moved to Romania in 2017 and changed his religion to Islam, gained his online popularity through controversy, by promoting hyper-masculinity and misogyny. The controversial influencer was therefore banned from using several social media sites after posting hateful opinions and gender-biased comments.
