“Do better Hollywood”: Actor Who Lost the ‘Barbie’ Role to Margot Robbie, Takes a Dig at Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’
Barbie, the summer Blockbuster movie is doing absolutely fantastic with its pink theme and story. And little do you know about the stars who were almost cast in the movie, but fate had something else in mind. From the main character to the side roles, there were changes and replacements made which we’ll discuss here.
Barbie is hitting the box office more than the expected collection from its first week itself. The actors have proved their phenomenal acting skills in the movie. The story in this movie has not only encouraged women but men too and this task is done by non-other than the main character Margot Robbie. But it was not always Margot Robbie who was chosen to play the role.
Trainwreck Star Posted Her Reaction to Barbie Six Years after Dropping the Movie
Amy Schumer, an American comedian, actress, writer, and producer is known for her witty and boundary-pushing humor, addressing contemporary issues with a mix of satire and self-deprecation. She gained widespread recognition for her stand-up comedy performances and her fearless and candid approach to discussing topics such as relationships, sexuality, and social issues.
Apart from the comedy shows, she also acted in movies through which she got another reason to be praised. She is best known for movies like I Feel Pretty, Trainwreck, and Snatched. It was Schumer who was chosen to play Barbie in the Barbie movie and co-write the script, but Margot Robbie ended up slaying in it. Schumer had her reasons for dropping the role which she addressed once and now finally she reacts to the two Summer blockbusters on Instagram:

“Really enjoyed Barbie and Oppenheimer but I think I should have played Emily Blunt’s role”. “Do better Hollywood.”
Schumer captioned her post wearing a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses, highlighting she could have played a role in Oppenheimer.
Reason Behind Amy Schumer Abandoning Barbie
Amy Schumer was once a guest on the talk show Watch What Happens Live! where she was asked why she bailed on such a massive film. The comedian got unfiltered about why she left, uncovering that the original concept for the movie was too contrasting from what ended up becoming the final project. She said:
“I think we said it was scheduling conflicts but it really was just creative differences. But there’s a new team behind it and it looks like it’s very feminist and cool so I will be seeing that movie.”
The differences made or maybe the evolved concept might not have fit Schumer and she decided to rather watch the movie than play a role in it and the role was taken by the most gorgeous Margot Robbie.
