Pom Klementieff Requested Tom Cruise to kick her for Mission: Impossible fight scene

Christopher McQuarrie produced and directed Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One is set to release in July 2023. One of the key characters in Tom Cruise’s upcoming movie is Pom Klementieff as Paris. The Marvel star described her role during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

She said her character is “- very, very, very much a chaotic element in the story. It doesn’t matter how deep in the background, she is, you’re going to be watching her at all times and wondering what she’s going to do.” Paris is someone who “destroys everything in her path. She’s a rebel, she’s a killer, she’s extremely skilled and quite lonely too.”

She is portraying a negative character named Paris, who partners with the main antagonist, Gabriel, played by actor Esai Morales. In a scene that is shot in Venice, Paris fights with the super spy Ethan Hunt. Pom Klementieff had asked her co-star to kick her in the belly during the fight sequence. Tom Cruise instantly turned down her request. She recalled-

“I kept telling him to just kick me here. I was squeezing abs. [I said], You can just go for it. He was like ‘No, no, no, no, no.’ I was like, ‘But it’s going to help me!’ But he wouldn’t do it.”
