The Mission: Impossible franchise was a significant turning point in Tom Cruise‘s career. The actor played Ethan Hunt in the first Mission: Impossible movie that came out in 1996. Since then, the franchise has added six movies, and the seventh is on the way.

American action spy movie Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will be released next month. It is the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise, and the follow-up to Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Dead Reckoning Part Two, the sequel, is already planned for release on June 28, 2024. The 60-year-old actor’s new film had its first official screenings, and the reaction of critics was shared on social media.

Mission: Impossible 7 brought in the old cast with a new addition of Hayley Atwell to the franchise. Atwell plays a mysterious character, Grace, in the action franchise, marking her role the most loved by critics.

Joe Deckelmeier shared his reviews calling Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 his new favorite movie and even parised Atwell’s role. He said,

“Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning’ this phenomenal! Hayley Atwell STEALS ever scene she’s in. This is now my favorite ‘Mission: Impossible’ film. With the AI being the villain, this feels like a cautionary tale. The action had my heart rate elevated. That train scene is mind blowing!”

Atwell’s performance astounded Weintraub, who praised her as “a fantastic addition” to the Mission: Impossible films. He said,

“Big surprise was how much I loved Hayley Atwell in the film. I’ve always been a fan but she is a fantastic addition to the franchise and is a HUGE part of the movie.”

There were many other positive reviews from the critics praising the Top Gun actor for the upcoming movie.

Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 7 serves as the first of a two-part conclusion of the franchise. The $290 Million worth of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is set to release next month. With the success of the franchise, Cruise is bringing the heat with Ethan Hunt for the seventh time, before the franchise officially ends in 2024. The actor is worried about the seventh installment’s theatrical release dates.

The North American premiere of the Tom Cruise-starring Mission: Impossible 7 from Paramount Pictures is scheduled for July 12. The problem is that Christopher Nolan’s next feature, Oppenheimer, distributed by Universal, is scheduled to open in theatres just nine days after the Top Gun star’s movie and run on all IMAX screens for three full weeks until mid-August.

This clash is predicted to severely hit MI7’s run in the very second week itself. The Top Gun: Maverick star has high hopes for the forthcoming film, but they may just get shattered.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will open in theaters on July 12, 2023.
