Hollywood hunk and superstar Tom Cruise is all set for his highly-anticipated film Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. The seventh installment in the franchise will release next month, marking the second last film of the series. The Mission: Impossible series began with the first film, Mission: Impossible, which came out in 1996. Cruise set the base for his Ethan Hunt and instantly rose to fame.

The 60-year-old actor is one of the popular ones when it comes to action stunts in movies. He is known for doing the tricks alone and risking his life for a film. The Top Gun actor has worked with many celebs in his acting career, one of them is Simon Pegg, who has been part of the franchise for a long time. Pegg, during an interview, gave insights about Tom Cruises and his generous personality by revealing some details about the actor.

After the 1996 release of the first Mission: Impossible film, Tom Cruise rose to fame as Ethan Hunt. After playing the character six times in the franchise, the actor is set for the seventh film, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. The action film is popular in the entertainment industry due to Cruise leading it. There is no actor in the industry as dedicated as the 60-year-old. 

While Mission: Impossible 7 is set to release next month, Cruise’s co-star and friend Simon Pegg revealed details about the actor’s life. Pegg, during the interview, spoke about the Top Gun star’s generous nature and being the last movie star from old times.

He said,

“Of all the mist of stuff that’s around him, in the center of that mist is a generous, sweet guy who looks after everybody. He leads from the top down. And he’s kind of inspiring to be around. There’s no one else like him, he’s the last movie star of the old kind.”

The comedian revealed how the 60-year-old actor was kind to him when they first met in 2006 while filming Mission: Impossible III. The 53-year-old said,

“He came to set the first day we met, he immediately made me feel very welcome, very at home, and was incredibly generous. Over the 17 years that we’ve been friends, I feel lucky to get to see a part of him that everyone else wants to see, which is just the guy.”

The Inheritance actor even gave insights about why Cruise risks his life for doing a movie by performing the stunts on his own. He said,

“He’s an extraordinary guy. He’s a guy who feels the obligation to the audience to risk his life for them to kind of entertain them.”

Indeed, Tom Cruise is a dedicated actor in the industry who risks everything for the fans, to keep them entertained.

The plot of the Bruce Geller-penned Mission Impossible movie series revolves around Tom Cruise’s character, Ethan Hunt, an American spy. Hunt is a part of the IMF or Impossible Mission Force. The first film in the franchise came out in 1996. The seventh installment in the franchise Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will be released next month. The upcoming film is Mission: Impossible – Fallout. However, a sequel Dead Reckoning Part Two is already planned for release on June 28, 2024. 

In the seventh edition, Cruise’s character Hunt and the IMF are charged with locating a particularly dangerous weapon this time. Hunt had to use all measures to obtain the stated weapon for the sake of the continued life of the human race.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One is scheduled to release on July 12, 2023.
