Doctor Strange 2: A MAJOR Doctor Doom Link Confirmed By Producer
The producer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Richie Palmer, has finally confirmed that the movie did certainly not include an Easter egg-related to Doctor Doom.
While speaking during the audio commentary of the film, Palmer revealed some intriguing details about the surprising entrance of John Krasinski as Mister Fantastic/ Reed Richards during the Illuminati scene.

“It’s exciting that costume designed by Ryan Meinerding, is a really special treat,” he said, adding that the teleportation device Mister Fantastic arrives through was inspired by a similar device used by Doctor Doom in the comics. “The detail of the teleportation device he uses to get into the scene is something we took from the comics, that’s Doctor Doom’s Time Platform.”
What Is Doctor Doom’s Time Platform?
The Time Platform made its first appearance in Fantastic Four #5 in the year 1962, being invented by the iconic Fantastic Four foe, Doctor Doom aka Victor Von Doom. This device gives the user the ability to travel through time. For the very first time, Doctor Doom used it to send The Fantastic Four back in time so that could he could steal the Stones of Merlin which hails from the early 18th century AD.
Being used by The Fantastic Family, The Time Platform has been used in Ancient Egypt, possibly traveling back in time to World War I, and not forgetting, the prehistoric era. The Multiverse of Madness was the very first time the device made its debut in live-action, but MCU hasn’t confirmed if the device allows Earth-838’s Mister Fantastic to actually use time-travel or if it simply acts as a device to teleport.

This audio commentary for Doctor Strange 2 has certainly confirmed and revealed many interesting facts about the MCU movie, like from where is Earth Defender Strange from. The audio commentary also revealed that a scan done out of Olsen’s eyes was used to create the eyeball of Gargantos and a very early draft of the script of the movie showcased a Wasp variant as an Illuminati member. Even Writer Michael Waldron discussed how Scarlet Witch would have ended up dispatching the Wasp through the character’s vicious yet victorious battle against the Illuminati.
It has not been confirmed by Marvel Studios that a third Doctor Strange movie is underway, but franchise star Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the titular role within the MCU, believes that he would love appear again.
