Erica Mena known for her appearances in the popular TV Reality show, Love & Hip-Hop has found herself in some hot water yet again. Following the dramatic controversy that unfolded after her racist actions on the show, she has now allegedly assaulted a police officer and feigned pregnancy to evade arrest.

Erica Mena Bit Police Officer in an Attempt at Escape
Erica Mena found herself in trouble when security tried to break off a brawl happening in a lounge in Atlanta. Eventually, the cops were called in and took matters into their own hands. Mena was present with her friends and was among the four people who got arrested.
TMZ got its hands on the APD’s report of the incident, which stated how low the celebrity stooped to evade the arrest. She bit an officer in the forearm and even kicked one in the face, multiple times.
What got the strongest reactions from fans and media was that Mena even feigned to be pregnant as an escape from the situation, only for her attorney to later reveal that she wasn’t.

Erica Mena’s Love & Hip-Hop Controversy
In the episode aired on August 29, Mena used a racial slur against co-contestant and Grammy-nominated artist Spice. The two were discussing having gone through getting divorced and having children to fend for.
When Spice pointed out Mena’s complicated relationship with her firstborn, the latter flipped off the table and called Spice a “f*cking blue monkey”.
This incident acted as a can of worms and brought out the history of EM’s racist behavior. Needless to say, she received a lot of backlash on social media.
Erica Mena’s Lawyer Offers Some Explanation
The Stepmother star only had things going south for her when she got arrested. Her legal counsel Drew Findling defended his client’s actions saying that the cops were unnecessarily forceful towards her. Findling clarified that Mena was not pregnant. He also reflected on how the whole incident was a case of mismanagement from the police.
“It is clear that this was an incident between citizens, private security, and off-duty police officers that was not properly handled or de-escalated.”
