“Everything they’ve done is illegal”: Nicki Minaj Claims She’s Fallen Victim to a Conspiracy To Sabotage Her Tour After Shock Arrest
Nicki Minaj is on her fourth solo tour to promote her new album, Pink Friday 2. This is her biggest tour yet, with 82 shows across three continents. However, it hit a major snag on Saturday when she was arrested at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport for allegedly having marijuana – just a few hours before the show!
While marijuana possession is legal in the Netherlands, transporting it out of the country is not. That is the reason she had to cancel her concert in Manchester, England on Saturday, where around 20,000 fans were waiting for her to perform in the arena.
Nicki Minaj Believes Someone Plotted Against her to Ruin her Concert
Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to share her side of the story after being stopped at the airport. In a video, you can hear an airport worker saying they need to search all her luggage because of police orders. To this, Minaj insisted she wasn’t carrying anything illegal. The post reads:
They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show. They took my bags before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now saying they’re waiting on customs. This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they’ve done is illegal.

Even though Roman Zolanski was clearly upset about the situation, news reports say she stayed calm and did everything the authorities asked of her. However, the 41-year old thinks someone was trying to mess with her tour by causing this trouble.
They’re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b/c soooooo many ppl are mad that it’s this successful & they can’t eat off me. They got caught stealing money from my travel/jets. Got fired. Got mad. Etc.

As reported by Reuters, she was eventually fined and released after talking to prosecutors. The Chun-Li singer has been constantly updating her fans about the situation on social media. In one post, the Trinidadian-born singer claimed she was held in a jail cell for several hours and only reached her Manchester hotel around midnight.
Minaj feels targeted, though she doesn’t say by whom. She apologized profusely to her fans on X for the inconvenience and promised to announce a new date for the concert soon. There will even be a “added bonus” for those who hold onto their tickets!
Nicki Minaj’s Manchester Concert is Postponed, Not Cancelled
According to ABC News, the concert organizers, Live Nation, have officially confirmed that Nicki Minaj’s concert in Manchester has been postponed, not cancelled. They said fans’ tickets will still be good for the rescheduled date, which they’ll announce soon.
Apparently, Nicki The Ninja tried everything she could to make the concert happen, but what happened earlier that day made it impossible. The organizers apologize for any trouble this caused.
It’s important to note that this postponement only affects the Manchester concert on May 25th. The rest of her tour, including the second Manchester date on Thursday, should still go ahead as planned.
