Michelle Yeoh has been in the entertainment industry for the past four decades. The 61-year-old actor has etched her name on the grounds of Hollywood with her great acting prowess. During an interview with the reputed media outlet Elle, Michelle Yeoh spoke about her debut movie The Owl vs. Bumbo, an action comedy directed by director duo George Lam and Sammo Hung.

According to the Memoirs Of A Geisha actor, she played the character of a damsel in distress in the action comedy project. While talking about the action sequence, the actor spoke about her unique approach to executing fight sequences. Michelle Yeoh said-

“Because everything was choreographed, and then it was like this whole big musical—without the singing, of course—that unfolded in front of me,”

During an interview with the reputed media outlet People, the actor spoke about breaking stereotypes and being extremely grateful for being able to do this. She said-

“This is for every little girl that looks like me,”

“A lot of actresses find, as the numbers get bigger, the roles start to dwindle,” she says. “Over the last few years, I’m very proud that we have been breaking away from stereotypes — it’s not just lip service. It is happening. And it’s happening to me.”

While talking about being privileged, Michelle Yeoh even mentioned-

 “You go from shock to bewilderment. Wow, is it me? How can it be me?’ Because I’ve worked with so many amazing actresses who should have had this privilege, and so I am very grateful to be given the opportunity to sit at the table and to be seen.”
