Explosive Incident That Started Blac Chyna’s Beef With the Kardashians Leading to a $100 Million Lawsuit

Blac Chyna, real name Angela Renée White, rose to prominence in 2010 after she appeared as Nicki Minaj’s stunt double in the music video Monster by Kanye West. The model’s name was dropped in Drake’s Miss Me, followed by her appearing on the covers of Dimepiece, Straight Stuntin, and Black Men’s Magazine. Chyna’s appearance on Keeping Up with the Kardashians as Kim Kardashians’ friend added to her popularity.

Chyna was engaged to Rob Kardashian and they appeared in the spin-off show Rob & Chyna; however, it was canceled after the first season. The model-media personality joined OnlyFans in 2020 before announcing her departure in 2023. She recently got engaged to rapper Derrick Milano, but fans are interested to know about her beef with the Kardashians, which led to a $100 million lawsuit.

Blac Chyna felt ‘betrayed’ by Tyga-Kylie Jenner’s relationship

Blac Chyna starred in Tyga’s Rack City music video in 2011, and the two of them started dating and welcomed their son King Cairo Stevenson in 2010. Tyga was open about his affection for the model and did not shy away from sharing how he felt via posts and public declarations. However, in late 2014 and early 2015, the rumors of Tyga being friends with Kylie Jenner, who at the time was 17 years old started to circle.

The former couple decided to end their engagement by publicly announcing their separation. They never mentioned the reason behind their separation, but the public was quick to believe that the young Jenner had something to do with it. By mid-2015, Tyga and Kylie Jenner confirmed that they were dating.

Chyna, who appeared as Kim Kardashian’s friend on the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians in early 2014, shared in her 2023 interview with Nick Viall:

Me and Kim were really good friends. I was on her show and all this stuff like that. We lived in the same community. And then her little sister started talking to Tyga, which was crazy because she was underage, and then everybody came at me and started attacking me. It’s like, Nobody’s seen the betrayal that was going on behind my back.

She also mentioned that after the former couple ended their relationship, Tyga’s friend threw her out of the house she was living in with the rapper. She noted that they packed her stuff and put it in the truck and asked her to leave. Chyna also went on to mention that she found out about Tyga and Kylie Jenner’s relationship, just like the rest of the world, on the Internet.

Things started to get messy in 2016 when Chyna was linked to Kylie Jenner’s older brother, Rob Kardashian. Their tumultuous relationship started with them being engaged just after a month of dating and later announcing that they were expecting their first child together. After welcoming their daughter Dream and being on and off for months, the two finally split in 2017 for good.

The whirlwind romance unfolded on their reality show Rob & Chyna, which was canceled after the first season. Chyna went on to blame the Kardashians for the cancellation of the show and leaving her in financial difficulty.

She filed a $100 million lawsuit against the family, which she eventually lost. The Kardashians addressed the lawsuit briefly on their show The Kardashians but have restrained themselves from badmouthing Chyna out of respect for Dream.

After losing out on a multimillion-dollar defamation trial against the Kardashians, Blac Chyna shared with Nick Viall on The Viall Files that everyone’s in a good place and she is grateful that the legal battle is behind them. Speaking about the drama surrounding Rob Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, she said,

I never used to talk about these things, but I’m like, You know what? I think I’m kind of done with that, don’t come out and be a bitter baby mama, you know what I mean?  And people need to hear my side. It’s been years. I didn’t come out and be a bitter baby mama, you know what I mean? I feel like time has passed.

Since her loss, the model gave up on alcohol, departed from OnlyFans, underwent breast and butt reduction surgery, and got her fillers dissolved. Blac Chyna goes by her real name now and has embraced religion by getting baptized; she received a doctorate from Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College. She sees this as a new chapter in her life and notes,

I want people to see me living in my truth. I’m being honest and just open with things moving forward.

Chyna was linked to Derrick Milano since May 2023 and made their relationship official months later. The rapper, who has worked with Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé, proposed to the model at the Howard’s Annual Yardfest concert in Washington, D.C.
