Amidst the expansion of franchises all over Hollywood, how can the Fast n Furious franchise not be there for their fans? Yes, F9’s newest trailer, released during the Super Bowl, says that it is “coming soon”.  Initially, the movie was going to be released in the year 2020, but Corona had different plans for everyone. The Universal Studios‘ production is set to release the film in May 2021. The new trailer movie must have got all the fans on the edges of their seats. Especially, when the 4-second scene of a car crashing through a building came up. It has excited the viewers about the kind of action sequences this new member of the franchise brings their way. The shot showing the car crashing through the buildings and going into a truck looked so surreal. It got many fans believing that was a CGI execution. 

Justin Lin’s Take On The New BTS

After the new teaser’s release, the director Justin Lin took to Twitter to share with the fans some behind the movie’s scenes. He wrote “One 4 second shot in F9,” Lin wrote on Twitter. “8 months of prep. 4 days of production. 3 cards destroyed. Work from over a hundred of the most dedicated and talented crew. Best job in the world!”.  After Lin released this intriguing new video, it became clear that this was no CGI work and instead reflects upon the amount of work that must have gone into the movie.

Vin Diesel In An Interview with EW

After talking to EW about the trailer, Vin Diesel revealed that John Cena is going to play the role of Jakob, Dom’s brother. He also said that “You haven’t seen anything yet,” indicating that the movie has a lot more than what the teaser offered. He mentioned the movies’s theme saying, “Without giving away the plot, that’s the theme: don’t give up on family.”

The new movie stars: Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris’ Ludacris’ Bridges, John Cena, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron. In the Fast and Furious saga timeline , the movie lands after the events that happened in The Fate Of The Furious, released in 2017. The wait to catch all the action in the movie will get over on May 28, 2021. Are you all ready?
