English actor Florence Pugh is making headlines after she dropped a bomb declaring war on American actress-filmmaker Olivia Wilde amidst their highly anticipated thriller film Don’t Worry Darling which is set to release this September. The movie is also starring One Direction alum Harry Styles in the movie alongside Pugh, however, the movie is facing a rift between the actress and the director which is again confirmed after Pugh decided not to do press for the upcoming film.
Florence Pugh is known for portraying the leading role of a violent young bride in the independent drama Lady Macbeth and the 2018 miniseries The Little Drummer Girl. She went on to gain wider recognition with movies like Fighting with My Family, Midsommer, and Little Women.

Since the trailer of the highly anticipated film Don’t Worry Darling has dropped, many speculations have been making rounds on the Internet. According to a tweet, Florence Pugh had decided not to do any press which is giving another drama to her relationship with the director Olivia Wilde. She had decided that she will only be doing press on the movie premiere at the 79th Venice Film Festival on September 5.
Many netizens are now going wild on Twitter after getting to know about the inside drama of the upcoming film, especially between Pugh and Wilde. Pugh’s announcement of not doing the press for the anticipated film came when the leaked video of Wilde made rounds on the Internet in which she begs actor Shia LaBeouf to stay in the movie. That leaked video surfaced just after she claimed to fire the latter who was formerly the lead alongside Pugh.
Wilde shared in that video, “If she (Florence Pugh) really commits, if she really puts her mind and heart into it at this point, and if you guys can make peace — and I respect your point of view, I respect hers — but if you guys can do it, what do you think?”
For the unversed, Wilde previous mentioned to Variety in the August issue stating why she fired Labeouf, “I say this as someone who is such an admirer of his work: His process was not conducive to the ethos that I demand in my productions,” she shared. “He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require a combative energy, and I don’t personally believe that is conducive to the best performances.”
While Shia Labeouf was accused of sexual, emotional, and psychological abuse by his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs while the director claimed that she fired him to keep Pugh ‘safe.’
Don’t Worry Darling is scheduled to be released in the United States on September 23, 2022.
