Harrison Ford is one of the most famous and legendary actors in the Hollywood industry. In his 80 years of life, Ford has achieved rich success in the entertainment industry. He has been part of the old and longest-running franchise Indiana Jones. The actor has played the adventurer and archaeologist for four decades. And with his successful acting career, Ford has amassed a net worth of $300 million.

But along with acting, the Golden Globe winner is also a pilot and is passionate about flying planes. The actor was 52 when he first seriously started taking flying lessons. Ford, over the years, has amassed an impressive aviation collection. Although his passion for flying kicked in a bit late, the 80-year-old is not ready to give up being a pilot.

The Indiana Jones star has been flying planes for twenty-eight years. During an interview, Ford said,

“I will not be buried under a stone that says actor. For me, flying is as important a part of my life as my business. It’s not like playing golf.”

The Blade Runner actor was president of a group called Young Eagles, which hosts activities at nearby airports on Saturday afternoons, where pilots can take their kids for 30-minute flying sessions to stimulate their interest in aviation. Ford, with an aviation collection, was with the group for five years and flew dozens of kids.

The new movie Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is anticipated to not only be his final outing but also the final film of the franchise. The upcoming movie will see Dr. Jones race against time to find a fabled dial that has the power to alter history. The film was screened at the 2023 Cannes film festival and received criticism.
