Paul Giamatti Is “Keeping It Real” With A Celebratory In-N-Out Burger After His Golden Globe Win For The Holdover
Move over glamorous after-parties; Paul Giamatti only has eyes for patties from fast food chains after a big win. Giamatti won a Golden Globe in the category of best actor in a comedy or musical for his role in The Holdovers and instead of heading to the coveted after party to hang out with fellow celebrities and celebrate his win gloriously, he quietly slipped out to enjoy a burger and fries at an In-N-Out.
The internet learned about this after actor Michael Warburton took to X (formerly Twitter) and posted a picture of Paul Giamatti in the outlet, seemingly oblivious to the entire world and extremely focused on his food.
“PAUL GIAMATTI keeping it real post his Golden Globes win last night , at the Westwood In-N-Out in L.A.”
In the post, Giamatti is seen in his award show tuxedo and ready to chomp his meal down. Other patrons are also seen in the outlet, all busy with their own sides of deliciousness.
Paul Giamatti Dedicates The Holdovers Golden Globe Win To Teachers
In a heartwarming manner, Paul Giamatti dedicates his Golden Globe win to teachers. He plays the role of a New England prep school instructor in Alexander Pyne’s The Holdovers who must stay on campus during the winter break. In the process, he ends up making a lasting bond with a student and the cook of the school.
In a hearty manner, he started off his speech with a cheeky joke (via. Variety).
“So many stairs! My knees are shot, I’m tell you. Up and down, all night, standing up and sitting down all night. I’m never going to be in ‘John Wick 5’ at this rate.” He also noted that “surely this is the first time this award has been given to an actor who has played a man who smells like fish.”
