‘Grasping at Straws’: Amber Heard To Sell Elon Musk’s Secret Expensive Gift To Pay Johnny Depp After Losing Defamation Case

The defamation lawsuit involving Aquaman actress Amber Heard and her ex-husband Johnny Depp came to an end on June 1 with the latter winning the trial. The actress lost most of her countersuit and was awarded $2 million, for defamation by former Depp’s attorney Adam Waldman. While, Johnny Depp was awarded $15 million in damages, including $5 million in punitive damages, that were later deducted to 10.35 million dollars because of a limit to punitive damages under state law.

Amber Heard was involved with Tesla Founder, Elon Musk right after she filed for divorce from Johnny Depp. Their relationship gathered many headlines that became cold when an insider shared that the pair split for good. Though, the actress still couldn’t part with Elon Musk even after she lost the defamation trial. However, she would be selling Elon Musk’s expensive gift to pay her ex-husband.

Will Amber Heard Sell Elon Musk’s Expensive Gift?

When the actress was together with the Tesla founder in 2017, he wanted to gift the former with one of the cars from his Tesla company. His expensive gift was the famous Model S, one of the most sold cars in the entire company. Nowadays, this car surpasses the $100,000 mark for a single model with all the equipped specs. This car comes with great specifications; The electric vehicle can go 628km on a single charge and it boasts 1,200 horsepower. Despite being quite a big car, it can do 0 to 100km/h in 2.1 seconds and has a top speed of 250km/h.

This model is quite luxurious even though it’s considered cheap among the most expensive vehicles on the market worth $130,000. Though, it’s still not confirmed whether she would sell this expensive car to cover the expenses or not.

The Aquaman Actress and Elon Musk’s Relationship

During the summer of 2012, Elon Musk and the Aquaman actress met while working on the set of ‘Machete Kills’ which was directed by Robert Rodriguez. They were seen together again next year when the actress played Miss San Antonio, Blanca Vasquez, while Elon Musk appeared in a cameo as himself in the film. According to his spokesperson, “Elon and Amber didn’t start seeing each other until May 2016, and even then it was infrequent. Their relationship didn’t become romantic until some time after that.”

While they split in 2018, the pair addressed it in Us in August 2018, “We would like to speak for ourselves. The distance has been really tough on our relationship because we haven’t been able to see each other much. All relationships have their ups and downs, of course.”

Earlier this month, the actress’s lawyer said Heard cannot afford to pay the $10 million judgment she owes ex-husband Johnny Depp.
