Marvel star Gwyneth Paltrow is in deep trouble. She is being sued by a person who claims he suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of Paltrow ramming into him from behind in a 2016 incident. The bizarre incident has landed Paltrow in court where she recently faced the testimony of the retired eye doctor. 

The alleged victim gave a descriptive account of the accident and narrated how he perceived the accident to have taken place. He claims he suffered serious injuries and has sued Paltrow for money. The Friends star on the other hand contests those claims and had a lot to say in her defense when she herself took the stand.

The American actress Gwyneth Paltrow is currently in the news for all the wrong reasons. Terry Sanderson, a retired medical professional from Utah, accuses Paltrow of negligence while skiing at the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, in 2016. 

The incident caused a collision that left the doctor seriously injured as he said he suffered from a traumatic brain injury in addition to four broken ribs. Additionally, Paltrow sued the retired doctor in retaliation, asking for $1 in legal fees and damages. The actress reportedly claimed during her testimony last week that she felt violated at the time and believed the accident to be some sort of joke.

After colliding with the Iron Man actress on the Utah ski slopes, the retired doctor claims that she left him permanently disabled. On Monday, he claimed to the jury that the actress had been skiing out of control before she struck him.

Terry Sanderson explained,

“There was nothing in front of me. I just remember everything was great, and then I heard something I’ve never heard at a ski resort. I heard a blood-curdling scream.”

He said,

“It was like somebody was out of control and hit a tree and was going to die, and that’s what I had until I was hit.”

In January 2019, retired optometrist Terry Sanderson initially brought legal action against Gwyneth Paltrow. As according to him they were skiing down the slope at the Deer Valley Resort in 2016 and the actress struck him from behind.

A retired doctor named Terry Sanderson is suing Gwyneth Paltrow in Utah on the grounds that the actress struck him in 2016 while they were both riding down a mountain slope, which left him with serious injuries. Additionally, Paltrow also filed a counter-lawsuit against the retired optometrist, seeking $1 in legal fees and damages.

According to Gwyneth Platrow, she did not flee the scene of the accident because she stayed there on the mountainside long enough to check on Sanderson. She further asserted that, even with her children present, she was never involved in any way in the risky behavior.

When questioned by the defendant’s lawyer about her knowledge of the skiing rules requiring her to leave her name and contact information after a crash, Paltrow responded, 

“I don’t think I was aware of the rule. I would not have left the scene without leaving my information, and my information was left.“

She said,

“I was hit by Mr. Sanderson, and he was at fault.”

In her deposition, Paltrow stated that she went skiing on the mountain slopes with her family, including her boyfriend Brad Falchuk and his two children, as well as with the two ski instructors who were assigned to each child. In her testimony, she described the incident and claimed that two skis suddenly slid into the gap and pulled her legs apart.
