Halle Berry and ex-husband Olivier Martinez’s divorce has finally been settled. This decision came after seven long years of the couple’s separation. Their marriage was short-lived. The couple started seeing their way out of their relationship during the third year of marriage.
The pair have a son named Maceo. The custody and child support battle is what dragged the procedure out for so long.

After years-long wait, Oscar Winner Halle Berry and French movie star Olivier Martinez are no longer legally married. The couple initially had a prenuptial agreement but things changed after the birth of their son Maceo. The custody procedure took ages to wind up.
As per reports, Maceo’s physical and legal custody is shared by both his parents. He will spend the weekends alternatively with his mother and father. And be with Berry for the first half of the week and spend the latter half with Martinez.

Halle Berry will pay $8,000 a month of child support to Martinez. She is also obligated to pay 4.3% of any income she receives over $ 2 million. Berry will also cover all of their son’s private tuition, extracurricular activities, medical insurance, and other expenses.
Being a highly successful actress must come in handy in times like these.

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez’s Relationship
The actors were having a tumultuous marriage in just two years. They got engaged pretty early in their relationship. They started dating just when Berry had gotten out of a years-long relationship with Gabriel Aubry. Berry and Aubrey also have a daughter together named Nahla.
Reports suggest that Berry’s involvement in Nahla’s custody case with Aubrey became the cause of the crack in her relationship with Martinez. Allegedly, there was even a brawl between the men of this weird custody triangle with one of them ending up in Metropolitan prison and both of them sustaining injury.
Not soon after, Berry filed for a divorce against Martinez which took this long to reach a conclusive stage.
