However, after a lot of speculations and rumors of surgery, Jenner finally decided to get things straight once and for all. Her older sister Kim Kardashian helped her get the truth out. The SKIMS owner even discussed it while appearing for a Pixiwoo blog in 2014. She revealed that the reason behind Jenner’s plump lips was her enviable make-up skill. The Socialite once even helped her younger half-sibling get ready for an interview concerning the rumor of a lip job.
Kim Kardashian Helped Out Kylie Jenner by Questioning her Biggest Insecurity
Following the speculations of a lip job back in 2014, Kylie Jenner was showered with questions about her new plump lips. Her lips being naturally thin undoubtedly attracted attention when they suddenly looked big and plump. But as later it was explained, it was all due to the use of lip-liners and Jenner’s remarkable make-up skill. And the one person that helped her the most in addressing the rumors is her older half-sibling, Kim Kardashian.
As it turned out, the 25-year-old socialite’s biggest insecurity had been her thin lips which she tried to overcome by filling them with lip-liners. However, since the speculations got too much Jenner had to address it to shut it once and for all. In one of the episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians the two sisters attempted a mock interview. She asked, “Hey, Kylie so tell me have you ever done your lips?” To this Jenner replied,
“for about a year I overlined my lips and it was really big insecurity in my life so yes I plumped them up”
Furthermore, in a 2014 Pixiwoo blog, the SKIMS founder defended Jenner against lip job rumors. She explained, “She doesn’t wear lipstick or a gloss … She’s so good at makeup.” However, the lip controversy and Jenner’s luscious lips have become one of the most discussed and mentioned topics among fans.
Kylie Jenner Slammed the Lip Job Speculations
Being only 17 at the time and having to go through public scrutiny about one of her biggest insecurity must have been tiring. While the discussion of lip enhancement surgery was flooding in, Kylie Jenner addressed her frustration via Twitter. She tweeted back in 2014,
“How long are we gonna talk about this lip thing lmao” and “Let’s get our lives together guys and talk about some important s—t,”
But since then Jenner’s make-up skill to enhance her lips has become a trend. She even owns a successful make-up kit line Kylie Cosmetics.
