Star Wars actor John Boyega, who is starring alongside Jamie Foxx in They Cloned Tyrone, shared at the premiere of the movie at the American Black Film Festival in Miami Beach, Florida that it was just such an honor to work with him. The actors pointed out that they wish Foxx would have been on the red carpet for the premiere, as they miss his presence.
Teyohnah Parris, who also stars in the movie, mentions,
“He’s so generous as an actor and as a human, along with John. I got lucky to be able to work with such dope men on this project, and dope men of color, that it was just so much fun.”
Boyega added,
“To be given the chance to screen this movie for the culture, from the culture for me is very, very important. But also to see filmmakers come together, other entertainers, industry professionals to basically help promote and amplify this platform that we have. To be a small part of the jigsaw puzzle has always been something that completely shocks me each time.”
She further said that Foxx would bring such lively energy to the set that they would always end up laughing and partying.

A.J. Benza makes a bizarre claim on Jamie Foxx’s health
According to reports, there has been a rumor going on that Foxx was hospitalized after he was seriously affected by a Covid vaccine, which according to his representatives, is not true. The unsubstantiated claim is part of a continued push among some far-right personalities to cast doubt on the safety of vaccines, even though studies and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have affirmed that vaccines are safe and effective.
Podcaster A.J. Benza revealed to Dr. Drew Pinksy that Jamie Foxx suffered from blindness and partial paralysis as a result of the Covid vaccine. He also claimed that Foxx was coerced into receiving a vaccination while he was filming a movie and insisted that the actor had a blood clot that caused a stroke after receiving the vaccination and that he had a source “in the room” with the actor.
Charles D. King, the CEO of Macro and the film’s producer, told Variety at the premiere that despite his health issues, they were very happy to see that Foxx had shared the movie’s trailer on social media. King described Foxx, Boeyga, and Parris’ work on the project as a masterclass in acting and said they were all very happy and excited because they know the actor manages his own social media accounts.
They Cloned Tyrone will be released on Netflix on 14 July 2023.
