“He was desperately searching for freedom and privacy”: Ex-girlfriend Catherine Ommanney Feels Sorry For Prince Harry After Watching Him Get Controlled by Meghan Markle
Meghan Markle has quite a hold on her husband and that’s a universally known fact. She married Prince Harry in 2018 and within 2 years convinced him to leave his family behind and skip continents with her. The 38-year-old prince has estranged himself from his family for the sake of his wife, and the royals have always held and continue to hold the Suits alum as the culprit in this dynamic. It was recently reported by a friend of Kate Middleton that Prince William ‘really hates’ Markle for causing a rift between him and his brother, and that he also hates Prince Harry for estranging himself from the family.
It turns out that members of the royal family are not the only people who think that the 41-year-old manipulates her husband, but also one of the estranged prince’s former paramours.
Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend claims he has changed beyond imagination under Meghan Markle’s control
Prince Harry‘s ex-girlfriend is the latest person to give her two cents on the Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan. Catherine Ommanney was recently in conversation with Piers Morgan, another certified Meghan Markle hater, when she shared her thoughts on how the Duke of Sussex has completely changed as a person. She was shocked at the fact that he agreed to do a documentary on his life when he has always been such a reserved and private person.
“What I saw of him at the time, he was desperately searching for freedom and privacy and yet what he’s done is completely turn the whole situation full circle, and now he’s got no privacy and no freedom. I just don’t know whether I’d actually even recognise him anymore personality wise because when I watched him [on] the show, I just thought: ‘Why?’
She’s [Meghan] got a spell over him, and that’s why I don’t recognise him, because he used to be so down-to-earth and normal and there’s so little of him I actually recognize.”
It is well-known that the Dater’s Handbook actor has been trying to make her comeback to showbiz without pursuing an acting career. Her podcast and now the documentary are a stepping stone for the same, and Prince Harry probably couldn’t help but give in to his wife’s whim.
Ommanney’s revelations don’t come off as a big shock either as body language experts did notice hints of discomfort in the Prince’s postures in the documentary, which hinted at how he felt shy and reserved.
Fans raise similar questions about the Sussexes’ privacy
As part 1 of the docuseries released on Netflix on December 8, several people raised the point online that back when the Sussexes left the royal family, they complained about issues of privacy. And now they are sacrificing the same privacy for the sake of clout. The criticism got so out of hand that their press secretary, Ashley Hansen had to issue a statement in New York Times, which read,
Prince Harry is also about to release his memoir Spare next year, which will bare further details of his personal life out in the open for the whole world. Only time will tell what bombshell revelations the book stores, and no one can completely tell what turned the reserved prince into such a public person.
Harry & Meghan is currently streaming on Netflix.
