“He would want his son to witness it”: King Charles Forgives Prince Harry And Meghan Markle After Explosive Revelations, Wants Them Back For His Coronation
It was revealed last month that estranged son Prince Harry was invited to attend his father, King Charles III’s coronation, which is all set to take place in May of this year. The young royal though has refused to attend it. During the same interview, he explained that he is willing to sit with his family to sort out the issues between them.
However, a source close to the royal family has revealed that King Charles wants his son to attend the coronation ceremony. That’s not it, the source also claimed that he wants his son back in the family. Prince Harry dropped his highly-anticipated memoir last month called Spare. In the memoir, the royal has highlighted the instances where he was a victim of the royal family’s harsh treatment.
Prince Harry refuses to attend King Charles’ coronation ceremony
In an interview with Tom Bradby last month, Prince Harry revealed that he received an invitation to attend King Charles III’s coronation, however, he plans on ditching the event. He said that he is willing to sit down with them and discuss things in a civilized way,
“There’s a lot that can happen between now and then. But, the door is always open. The ball is in their court. There’s a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they’re willing to sit down and talk about it.”
The royal has talked about the dark period of his life when he felt alienated in his memoir, Spare. It was released on January 10, 2023. A 416-page hardcover edition and an audiobook (on CD) are currently available.
King Charles wants his son to attend the coronation ceremony
Recently, a source close to the British royal family has spilled that King Charles wants his son to attend the ceremony, and even wants him back in the family. The insider said,
“It is such a momentous occasion for Charles, and he would want his son to be at the coronation to witness it. He would like to have Harry back in the family. If they don’t sort it out, it will always be part of the King’s reign and how he has left his family disjointed. He has had a reputation as a distant parent, and it would be awful for him for that to continue.”
The source explained that the funerals of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip did demonstrate that “they could put personal enmity aside for the sake of the bigger cause.”
Prince Harry has been criticized for his constant attacks on the royal family
The Duke of Sussex and his wife, Meghan Markle, decided to abandon their royal duties in January 2020 and move to California. Since then, they have accused the royal family of treating them like an outcast on multiple occasions. In 2021, the two appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s show and shared shocking information about the royal family. Sources claimed that the royal was “deeply unhappy” because of his family’s attitude after his marriage to Markle, that’s why the couple decided to move away from them.
The source added that, for the betterment of the country, the two might reconcile soon. The royal family still hasn’t officially shared their opinions on the prince’s latest memoir, Spare.
