Hollywood over the years and decades has given an array of iconic and memorable franchises.

From Marvel and DC’s never-ending tales of superheroes (followed by never-ending branches of spin-offs in different versions) to J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter which ended more than a decade ago and yet its every detail is vividly remembered by its loyal fans (just ask Margot Robbie).

Fans React to Exciting Update on Saw X

Marvel Cinematic Universe’s chapters, Harry Potter, and Mission: Impossible among others are chiefly admired and remembered for their powerful protagonists and complex antagonists, whereas Saw’s nine movies to date are etched permanently on the memories of dedicated viewers thanks to explicit images of torture and death in them.

The story started in 2004 with photographer Adam Stanheight and oncologist Lawrence Gordon chained in a horrendous place by sadistic killer Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), and over the years it has seen different characters trapped by the serial killer, who enjoys putting them through his gory puzzles and games.

The James Wan and ‎Leigh Whannell-created series divide opinion like no other franchise. You either absolutely love the stuff of nightmares it serves or you can’t even get yourself to watch a single scene from the movie.

With the 10th installment on its way, its committed fans were a bit afraid that Saw’s makers might tone down the overall theme of the movie to accommodate more neutral viewers.

However, Saw X has been rated R for sequences of “grisly bloody violence and torture, language and some drug use” meaning the franchise is staying with its trademark tropes, much to the delight of their fans.

Further, Saw’s traditional fans would love the fact that John Kramer would be back in a prominent role (and not flashbacks) in Saw X.

What Is the Plot of Saw X

The horror series on the surface is mostly known for being gore, but it’s much more than just that. The different chapters might have more or less one theme of victims being forced to make life-altering decisions or face spine-chilling deaths, but every puzzle and subsequent death or escape is preceded by plenty of twists and turns. The overall narrative of each movie is also pretty complex and absorbing.

The tenth movie, which is scheduled to hit the theaters on September 29, promises to be more interesting than any other version partly because it’ll be a throwback storyline and serve as a direct sequel to Saw I and prequel to Saw II – a dream for its nostalgic followers.

In the movie, John travels to Mexico in the hope of a miraculous cure only to unearth a sketchy operation.
