As per the reports, Reeves has beat the likes of Mission Impossible’s Tom Cruise and the Avenger’s Robert Downey jr to become the biggest earner among the movie franchise greats. The Matrix earned $171.4 million domestically and $466.6 million worldwide during its theatrical run, from a relatively modest $63 million budget. According to a non-definitive list of actors who received $30 million or more as compensation, Keanu bagged $156,000,000 from the franchise.
Keanu Reeves’s Grand Return in John Wick: Chapter 4
Keanu Reeves is set to make a comeback with a bang with his much-awaited John Wick: Chapter-4. Directed by Chad Stahelski, the film is a sequel to John Wick’s Chapter 3 Parabellum, which was a box-office success. Apart from Keanu Reeves in the leading role the movie also stars Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne and others in key roles. When it comes to the box office projection the reports suggest the biggest-ever opening for the franchise. Chapter 3 of John Wick earned $56.8 million during the opening weekend. The upcoming film is expected to open between $60- $70 million.
On the work front Reeves’s John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to release on March 24, 2023. It is directed by Chad Stahelski, written by Derek Stahelski and produced by Summit Entertainment, Thunder Road films.
