The science fiction TV series Stranger Things has been a fan favorite since the release of its first season in 2016. Inspired by the works of legendary filmmakers such as Stephen King and Steven Spielberg, it is one of the most highly acclaimed series on Netflix to date. Furthermore, it features an ensemble cast that includes Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder, Maya Hawke, and many others.
Britney Spears aka the Princess of Pop is known for her contributions to reviving teen pop music. Her music is bound to influence generations of music listeners, considering how popular her music is. Stanger Things fame Millie Bobby Brown also seems to have been charmed by the Toxic singer considering how enthusiastically she talked about her in a recent interview.
Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown Wants To Portray Britney Spears
Not so long ago Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown made headlines due to her engagement with Jake Bongiovi, her boyfriend of two and a half years. The 19-year-old actress made her acting debut as a guest star in the ABC fantasy drama Once Upon A Time In Wonderland in 2013 and has been a trailblazer since then. Recently, she expressed her interest in playing the role of the pop singer Britney Spears.
In an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, Brown said that she would do an amazing job at portraying Britney Spears if a biopic is ever made. The Enola Holmes actress said:
“I want to play a real person and I think, for me, Britney. [It] would be Britney Spears. I think her story, first of all, resonates with me. Just growing up in the public eye, watching her videos, watching interviews of how when she was younger — I mean, same thing with you. I see the scramble for words [during interviews] and I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and hers only.”
Growing up in the public eye and with constant media scrutiny can often be the hardest part of an actor’s career, seeing as how it completely evades one’s personal space. Both Brown and Spears were thrust into the spotlight way too soon and it seems to have affected them adversely.
Stranger Things’ Final Season Is Put On Hold
The much-anticipated fifth season of Stranger Things has been in the making for a while. The show’s production was supposed to begin in May 2023. However, it has been put on halt for the time being owing to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike.
The Duffer Brothers addressed the matter on the social media platform X on the account with the handle strangewriters. They wrote:
Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we’re excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then — over and out. #wgastrong
Although fans are really excited to have the newest season as soon as possible, they are supportive of the creators’ decisions to put the production on hold until the strikes end. Hopefully, the strike will end soon and the demands of the writers and actors will be fulfilled.
