Sandra Bullock met her ex-husband, Jesse James in 2003 when she took her godson to visit the West Coast Choppers. Soon after meeting, they got married in a private ceremony in Santa Barbara. Jesse James had been married two times before Bullock and soon they got custody of his daughter with his second wife, Janine Lindemulder.
Things were going great for the former couple before several women came out with the claim that they have been in a relationship with James. Their marriage got strained and The Proposal star filed for divorce five years after her marriage.
Sandra Bullock Was Cheated on by Her Ex-Husband Jesse James
Sandra Bullock has had an interesting love life as she went on to date multiple Hollywood stars to sports stars. She must have felt a deep connection to the American entrepreneur, Jesse James, after meeting him in 2003. The couple got married soon in 2005 and the Gravity star happily adapted to her new family.
When she won several awards for her performance in the 2009 film, The Blind Side, Bullock thanked her ex-husband for his support. However, she won the Oscar for The Blind Side in March 2010, Bullock did not mention Jesse James in her acceptance speech.
Rumors regarding James cheating on his ex-wife started by the time Bullock won her Oscar. Just days after the Bird Box star won the Oscar for Best Actress, Touch Magazine released a story following Jesse James’ cheating claims. A model Michelle McGee claimed that she and James had been having an affair for almost a year.
The allegation was followed by several women claiming that Sandra Bullock’s husband had been having an affair with them. By April 2010 Bullock filed for divorce and they finalized their divorce in June 2010. Although James denied cheating allegations initially, he later admitted doing so during an interview with Daily Mail.
Jesse James Admitted Cheating on His Ex-Wife
Jesse James released his memoir after his divorce from the Hollywood star, Sandra Bullock. While promoting his memoir, he opened up about his strained marriage with The Heat star. He claimed that his ex-wife’s status was not the reason, he was with her.
He said, “I didn’t see her as Sandra Bullock, she was just Sandy.” James also said that people never accepted their relationship due to the difference in their status in society. Jesse James said that he frequently heard comments that described him as a“grease monkey” and that “he’s not cool enough to be with Sandra Bullock.”
He shared that he had to live up to the standards of being Bullock’s husband saying that it was a “very controlled way of living.” However, he did say that his ex-wife played no part in making him feel the way he did, and the glam lifestyle was too much for him.
When asked why he cheated on The Unforgivable star, he described “ego, loneliness,” and “distrust” as reasons for his unfaithfulness to Bullock. He claimed that he just wanted love and attention from his wife. When he did not get that he believed that Bullock did not love him. “But just because I didn’t get it when I didn’t ask for it, I was like, “Oh, she doesn’t love me,” James said. He also said that he never wanted to hurt Sandra Bullock.
