Emma Corrin joins MCU with Ryan Reynolds starrer Deadpool 3
Emma Corrin in a recent interview with Empire revealed that they will be entering into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Deadpool 3, which stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman; as the antagonist. They added that it is a chance for them to delve into the deep waters of the MCU and tap into their dark side as well.
They said, “I feel really excited to play a villain. I haven’t done that, and it’s an itch I want to scratch.” Corrin was cast in the movie after Shawn Levy, who is directing the movie, saw them perform on stage in the production of Virginia Woolf’s Orlando.
During the interview, they recall, “I’d heard about the project but, classic Marvel, they couldn’t tell me anything about it. Absolutely nothing. Zilch. So I met him being like, ‘I don’t know what this is about.’”

The actress who has always been appreciated for their acting skills, shared that taping into the world of the Marvel Universe is like entering a new world or experiencing something very new and unique. The reason is simple. They are not marvel people compared to what the majority of people are.
They admit, “Hands up, I’m not a Marvel person. I’ve watched Spider-Man and Black Panther. I was like, ‘Look, you’re going to have to debrief me into this.’ It’s such an intricate world. There’s so much to it, it’s an absolute mind-f**k. All the language and the Easter eggs, and this person is related to that person who did this, and this person came back and this person’s dead… it’s amazing.”
When the actress started to prepare themselves for the movie, they recalled that it proved that it is an enjoyable ride and they finally got to understand why it means so much to people, adding that they feel really lucky to be a part of the MCU, especially Deadpool. They lastly said that they love it because the movie is self-aware and critical of its inner workings.
Creator of Deadpool, Rob Liefeld’s lips are sealed
The movie that stars the two biggest stars, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, in it, is one of the highly awaited movies as it gives the audience a chance to see Jackman as Wolverine once again. Rob Liefeld, creator of Deadpool and comic book writer revealed that Marvel Studios and the Disney executives have asked him to seal his lips whenever someone asks him about the movie.
He said, “I can’t say anything about this movie as I promised Marvel and Disney. I got the call, so here I am saying nothing. I will say nothing. He tried, but I cannot say anything. There’s nothing to be said.”
It was recently reported that actress Jennifer Garner will be reprising her role as Elektra in the movie along with noting that Channing Tatum could finally have an opportunity to play Gambit in the movie. It’s one of the roles that the actor has reportedly long pursued. Deadpool 3 is going to mark the franchise’s debut under Marvel Studios’ banner following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Studios in 2019.
Deadpool 3 is set to release in theaters on May 3, 2024.
