Chris Pratt, who starred in Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, married Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019. She is the daughter of legendary action hero and former California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The retired professional bodybuilding legend watched his son-in-law’s most recent Marvel film, Guardians of the Galaxy – vol. 3, and was filled with admiration for him. The 75-year-old expressed his pride in Pratt and his work in a Twitter post as well. It was only natural that the loving act made his 43-year-old son-in-law feel special. 

Chris Pratt is incredibly appreciative of his father-in-law, who has become one of his biggest supporters. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Chris Pratt talked candidly about how it made him feel when Arnold Schwarzenegger praised his work.

He further explained that he was moved by his father-in-law’s praise because it came from a person he had grown up admiring.

Chris Pratt Gushed About How Much His Father-In-Law’s Support Means To Him

Chris Pratt recently opened up in an interview with PEOPLE about his relationship with his father-in-law, Arnold Schwarzenegger

Pratt emphasized how much he appreciates Schwarzenegger’s support. “Arnold’s support means the world to me on a couple of different levels,” the 43-year-old actor said in a statement to People. “Just being his son-in-law and being part of his family, it obviously means a lot to have his support.”

He explained further that these emotions weren’t present simply because they were now family. Instead, it’s because The Terminator actor has inspired him his entire life. Pratt further revealed that he was a fan of his films, Predator and The Terminator, saying, 

“So for him to give me props for going out and being on the marquee is really kind of mind-blowing. But then on another level, just being somebody who grew up loving his movies, the big action hero – I dreamed of being Commando and dreamed of being the soldier from Predator, and I loved Terminator.”

On April 29, 2023, Schwarzenegger tweeted his appreciation for Pratt’s most recent Marvel movie. He was impressed with Pratt’s performance and pleased with him.

The film was seen by other people besides his father-in-law, though. Even actor Patrick Schwarzenegger, Pratt’s eldest brother-in-law, also has expressed his support.

The Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy’s final chapter, directed by James Gunn has already been released in theaters on May 5. 

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s eldest son got to see the eagerly anticipated Marvel film at one of the film’s screenings. The 29-year-old, however, wasn’t prepared for the wave of emotions that followed the screening.

Chris Pratt’s The Terminal List co-star posted about his experience with the film on Twitter. In addition to writing a glowing review for the James Gunn movie, Patrick Schwarzenegger proudly congratulated his brother-in-law.

In fact, renowned filmmakers like Martin Scorsese and James Cameron have expressed their disapproval of the repetitive use of the once-unique trope in the film. Therefore, moviegoers have a general idea of what to expect from a high-profile Hollywood superhero film.

However, James Gunn’s final Guardians of the Galaxy film exceeded Patrick Schwarzenegger’s hopes and expectations, as he tweeted:

The May 5 release of GOTG Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt as Starlord, will reportedly send MCU fans on an emotional roller coaster, according to The Benchwarmers actor. Well, the words of encouragement from the Schwarzeneggers are undoubtedly comforting and heartwarming as Pratt waits to see how his film does on a global scale.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is premiering in theaters on May 5, 2023.
