Jackie Chan the renowned Hollywood actor and an incredible martial artist once pulled off a fantastic acting skill to trick an action legend. The Hidden Strike star made everyone believe that he was seriously hurt by performing a stunt.
The martial artist pretended he was badly hurt and made another martial artist icon hold him a little longer. Jackie Chan was so fond of Bruce Lee that he had to put on an act so that the action legend might hold him a little longer.
Jackie Chan Put an Act To Grab Bruce Lee’s Attention
Jackie Chan is a well-known personality worldwide, best known for his martial arts skills. The Kung Fu Yoga star wanted to turn Bruce Lee‘s head towards him so that the action legend might help him. Chan wanted an opportunity to feel the embrace of Bruce Lee as he was undeniably an epic figure. The Skiptrace actor once opened up about the act he pulled off to get Lee closer to him. Jackie Chan told George Stroumboulopoulos that:
“When I was young, doing Enter the Dragon and fighting with Bruce Lee, I was behind the camera waiting [for my cue]. Bruce was [fighting] and then I just run up and [attack] and suddenly my eyes go black. He had hit me on the side of the head with one of his sticks. I felt a little dizzy, but it’s OK. I look at Bruce Lee and he doesn’t do anything… he just keeps acting, until the director said cut”.
Chan reminisced about the old days when he was a young lad who was graced with an opportunity to work in Enter the Dragon, which is a lauded martial arts movie starring Bruce Lee. The actor described his role in the movie and how he rushed to be a part of a fight scene. During that fight, Bruce Lee accidentally hit Jackie Chan’s side with a stick which was used as a prop in the fight scene. Chan took this moment as a chance to grab Lee’s attention and he did. However, the Bleeding Steel star did feel a bit dizzy but that was bearable and he continued to keep his acting on until the director called off the scene.
