After his ex-wife Jenna Dewan, the star of The Rookie and Step Up explained why she had to break up with Tatum, the actor behind recent hits like Magic Maike’s Last Dance, The Lost City, and Dog has been in the public eye.
The famous dancer and actress had been together for nine years, which is a significant amount of time. Tatum and Dewan were experiencing a smoother dating life starting in 2008 and then something caused everything to fall apart leading to their separation in 2018.
Many fans were shocked when they announced they were splitting up, and many wondered why they divorced The answer to this question was made public with Dewan’s new book.

Dewan’s book, Gracefully You: How To Live Your Best Life Every Day shares details of her entire life, including her relationship with her ex-husband Channing Tatum.
“I’d come to realize the dynamic I was in wasn’t serving me nor was it serving my daughter,” she said. “First and foremost I had to accept the realization this isn’t working and had moved into hurting.”
The Supergirl star was also the mother of her 10-year daughter named Everly. Dewan shared that her bond with the Step-Up star didn’t work well for both of them.

Dewan also revealed that while she did her hardest to make things work out with Tatum, she eventually had to acknowledge that their marital life together was not at all working out. She was having no other option but to end her marriage to the Dear John actor with a broken heart.
The pair announced their divorce to their fans at the beginning of April 2019.
“Hey world! So…We have something we would like to share. First off, it feels odd that we have to share this kind of thing with everyone, but it’s a consequence of the lives we’ve chosen to lead, which we also happen to be deeply grateful for. We’re living in an incredible moment in time, but it’s also a time where truth can easily get distorted into ‘alternative facts.’ So we want to share the truth so you know that if you didn’t read it here then it’s most certainly fiction.”

The celebrity made it clear to her fans that while they still appear to be close friends, they are actually still a family and will always be devoted, loving parents to Everly.

Soon after the separation in 2018, the Jump Street actor began dating the well-known pop singer Jessie J. Dewan wasn’t talking about Tatum’s new relationship, though. The news came out so soon that fans suspected that the affair between the singer and Tatum led to their divorce. But she was straightforward in her book about how she felt after discovering the news, and she shared:
“There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship…I felt blindsided,” she wrote in her book.
Tatum’s bond with Jessie didn’t-really last and it ended the very next year. However, after two years of gap, the star again started dating Zoe Kravitz. Kravitz is famous for roles in blockbuster hit movies like The Batman, Mad Max: Fury Road, Round Night, and Divergent.
The actress from The Wedding Year is not alone, as she recently began dating Steve Kazee.
