“I had my priorities straight”: The Witcher Star Henry Cavill Almost Missed His Life Changing Superman Call

Henry Cavill fans who love to see him in his iconic character might not have had a chance to see the actor as their favorite character if Cavill hadn’t changed his priorities then. The Witcher star had a different priority when he was approached for the role of Superman.
Henry Cavill’s Close Call With Life-changing Superman Role
If any actor who hasn’t gained any of their iconic roles yet receives a call from the exceptional director Zack Snyder, would go crazy to get cast and will set Snyder’s project as their priority, unlike Henry Cavill. The actor had another priority set while he was being offered the role of Superman in the DC universe. The Night Hunter star wasn’t serious like any other actor might get after being offered an incredible role like Superman, but Henry Cavill was too engrossed in playing a video game. The Man of Steel actor who went along with Ben Affleck on the Conan O’Brien show said:
“Well, the first time I got the call I actually missed it I was playing World Of Warcraft at the time and I had my priorities straight. I was playing It was an important part of a particular Dungeon that I was going through, and it’s cool now that I am Superman. And then I looked across at the last moment and I saw Zack Snyder’s name on the phone so I grabbed the phone and then missed its right and so I called him back immediately and said I am really sorry I was saving someone’s life. I missed your call and then he gave me the news”
Henry Cavill revealed that he was too busy playing World of Warcraft to initially take the call from Zack Snyder to discuss playing Superman, unlike Ben Affleck who had a more conflicted response to playing Batman. Cavill’s reaction to playing his iconic role was juxtaposed with Affleck’s. But eventually, when the Enola Holmes star noticed it was Snyder, he immediately called him back to secure the role.
Henry Cavill Becomes a Super Spy in Upcoming Thriller
The upcoming spy thriller Argylle has a star-studded cast like Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, John Cena, and many other acclaimed stars of the industry. What’s more stimulating is Cavill’s character in the movie who turns out to be the protagonist of the film and a super spy traveling around the world on top-secret missions. The Witcher star’s portrayal of a spy would be intriguing as fans are already a fan of Cavill as he played a super genius man in Enola Holmes. The upcoming thriller will uncover the actor’s enhanced skills as he always does in every project.
Initially, it was believed that Argylle was based on a novel by the first-time author Elly Conway. However, the trailer and the official plot synopsis reveal that Conway is also a character in the film creating excitement among fans that she is a real person or just a fictional character. The film will revolve around the writer who lives a quiet and peaceful life with her cat, but things will turn enthralling when her written words happen in real life and this would start the film’s captivating action scenes.
