The Ghostbusters reboot is best known for its all-female lead cast but little did fans know that Chris Hemsworth was also a part in the movie and played the role of a receptionist for the Ghostbusters team. The Avengers: Endgame star was uncomfortable with doing the movie at its director’s request.

Chris Hemsworth’s Concerns About Improvisation in Ghostbusters Reboot

Chris Hemsworth had concerns regarding his involvement in the movie as the actor feared that Paul Feig‘s project might not only ruin his career but also impact the movie because it needed improvisations. The Spiderhead star felt uneasy with the director’s request to do improvisations as Hemsworth never in his acting career did it. His lack of experience in improvisations worried the actor as he believed that it would hinder the movie. In an interview with GQ Chris Hemsworth said:

“I said to Paul, there’s not a whole lot on the page, like, what do you want me doing?’ He said, ‘Oh, we’ll figure it out when you get here.’ So I said, ‘Okay, why not? Let’s go.”

The Star Trek actor had no idea what he was supposed to do in the movie. After reading the script Hemsworth realized the lack of details in his character which made him initially feel uncertain and put him in doubt that what if he ruined the movie which had an incredible cast like Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon. The 2016 Ghostbusters reboot faced immense backlash after its release and received mixed reviews from viewers eventually leading it to struggle at the box office. However, Chris Hemsworth appreciated his castmates for helping him gain confidence in improvisations.

The upcoming heat-style action thriller Crime 101 will feature two of the Hollywod’s prominent figures, Chris Hemsworth and Pedro Pascal. The anticipation is high as both actors have an incredible fanbase, especially after watching Pascal’s work in the recent adaptation of the video game The Last of Us, fans badly want to witness Crime 101 on their screens. This collaboration of A-list actors has not only generated interest among fans but also among the two most famous streamers, Netflix and Amazon who were reportedly vying for the film’s rights.

The Mandalorian and the Extraction 2 stars have shown interest in Crime 101 even before the bidding war between Netflix and Amazon started.
