“I hate Brad Pitt”: Geena Davis Reveals The Real Reason Why George Clooney Hates His Co-Star Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt is no doubt an A-lister due to his acting skills. He is recognized as one of the most powerful and influential people in the American entertainment industry. Not just his professional career, but his personal life has also been the subject of major media attention, especially his relationship with Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie.
The actor is well renowned now, but there was a time when he was just looking through options and auditioning to get a role that could change his acting trajectory. The opportunity came to him when he got a role in the movie Thelma & Louise.

The 58-year-old actor, Brad Pitt debuted through the cult classic, Thelma & Louise (1991) in which he played the role of JD, the cowboy.
The role helped the actor in launching his career, and the movie brought the actor closer to mainstream media, which ultimately played a key role in shaping him to be who he is now.
Ridley Scott directed Thelma & Louise, a female-fronted crime comedy-drama, revolves around two friends who embark on a road trip that ends up in unforeseen circumstances.
Geena Davis Became Dumbstruck on Watching Brad Pitt That She Forgot Her Line
The American actor, Geena Davis who starred as Thelma, shared her encounter with Brad Pitt in an episode of The Graham Norton Show.
She recalled four actors who were present for the reading of the role. “Each of them were very handsome.” She further shared,
“They all had brown hair and were very talented. I didn’t care who it was going to be. Then the fourth one comes in, and it’s Brad Pitt. He’s so charismatic and so incredibly talented that I was screwing up his audition.”
She recalled she forgot to say her line as Davis was too focused on the Bullet Train actor.
Geena Davis Reveals Why George Clooney Hates Brad Pitt
Davis, in that episode, shared that Pitt got the role among the four candidates who were there for the same. She revealed that she did not know the other actors at that time however she got to know later on who they were. The two of them were Grant Show from Melrose Place, and Mark Ruffalo, the Hulk actor.
The third candidate was none other than George Clooney, who hated his friend, the Troy star for getting the role in that film.
She had an encounter with Clooney on a flight from Europe to Los Angeles, and described him, “This gentleman was very friendly and great.”
She continued. “And finally he said, ‘You know, I hate Brad Pitt.’ I said, ‘No, you don’t — he’s, like, a really good friend of yours.’ He said, ‘No, I hate him because he got the part.’ ”
“I said, ‘Oh, did you want the part?’ And he said, ‘You couldn’t tell when I auditioned with you?’ And it was George Clooney,” the actress concluded.
However, The Tender Bar director is no longer holding onto that thought and he is a good friend of Pitt. The duo starred together in the Ocean’s Eleven franchise and Burn After Reading.
