“I have not been on a date in 15 years”: Diane Keaton is Not Desperate for Romance, Admits She Might Never Date Again
Diane Keaton is a living Hollywood legend who has a critically acclaimed career spanning over 60 years. She is the recipient of various accolades including an Oscar, Golden Globe, and BAFTA Award. Not just her professional career, but her personal life also kept her in the headlines every once in a while however now, she is not much desperate to be in a relationship.
The actress is still a leading figure in the entertainment industry. While she has been linked with some of the major names in Hollywood, it would be quite a surprise for many that she is still not married. However, the actress has admitted not being desperate for romance and even claimed to never date again.
Diane Keaton is Not Pursuing Romance in Her Life!
The 77-year-old actress, Diane Keaton in a new profile for AARP magazine opened up about having no plans for dating in the future. The actress revealed in the interview, “I don’t date” and even stated “highly unlikely” regarding the possibility of being interested in dating.
She continued,
“I don’t remember anyone calling me, going, ‘This is So-and-So. I’d like to take you out.’ They don’t happen. Of course not.”
“Let’s say 15 years… They probably just thought, ‘Enough’s enough… she’s too weird.’ I’m kind of odd, but I’m doing fine.”
Diane Keaton is Happy to Have a Family
The Annie Hall star told the magazine about living a “great” life with her family. She adopted her daughter Dexter when she was 50 years old. Her son Duke joined the brood five years later. The actress told that her children are “doing good.” The adults are now living their own life as the eldest has gotten married to Jordan White two years ago meanwhile the youngest is on his own.
While her nest has emptied, she is accompanied by her golden retriever, Reggie now. She told that her friend gave the furry baby to her as he knew she would “need” her. She is happy with her furry baby around her who according to her “is a big jerk, and she’s a great jerk, and she’s hilarious.”
She has had a fair share of romance connections in the industry including director Woody Allen and actors Warren Beatty, Keanu Reeves, and Al Pacino.
