Horrible Experience During 2003 Pirates Of The Caribbean: Zoe Saldaña Admits
In Johnny Depp‘s movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, as pirate smuggler Anamaria, Zoe Saldaña claims to be “lost in the trenches a great deal.”
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Saldaña explained,
“It was my first exposure to a major Hollywood mega movie, where there were just so many actors and so many producers and so many crew members.”
She added,
“We were shooting in different locations, and the environments were not that agreeable, sometimes, to our shoot days. I was very young, and it was just a little too big for me, and the pace of it was a little too fast.”
Avatar star said,
“she walked away not having a good experience from it overall,” before adding, “I felt like I was lost in the trenches of it a great deal, and I just didn’t feel like that was OK.”
Saldaña told in the interview, “That really moved me – the fact that he remembered that I had mentioned that during the press, I guess, or an engagement I had done years before and that he felt compelled to bring it up and to take accountability.”
In the following years, Jerry Bruckheimer apologized to Saldana for her bad experience, which shocked her.
Saldana went on to star in two Guardians of the Galaxy films, two Star Trek films, and Avatar following Pirates of the Caribbean.
Do We Get To See Zoe Saldaña In The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special?
Marvel released the first teaser for the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special earlier this week. In the Disney+ Special Presentation teaser, the Guardians team is seen in their full holiday glory as they journey to Earth to try and cheer up Star-Lord, who is sad and missing Gamora after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special does not include Gamora, despite her mention in the trailer. As a result of helping defeat Thanos in Avengers: Endgame, Gamora fled to parts unknown. The Gamora who fought alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes came from the past and was not the Guardians’ Gamora.
However, audiences can look forward to seeing her next Avatar: The Way of Water, Scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 16th.
